somewhat related to this thread, but how do you remember stuff (pure facts, processes, statistics) for subjects such as economics/biology/chemistry/physics (mod 7 especially) in the long term?
I wanna start doing trials but idk if it'll be useful or not? or should i save questions/exams?
I feel like it's pretty common from what i've heard that you must be on more than 10 units if you aren't "academically oriented." But this might not be the case for top 20-ish selective schools.
If you are DEFINITELY sure you aren't going to do well, maybe use that time for other subjects. OR...
What would you recommend for relearning content? (I have already learnt the content for bio, chem and physics until module 7) but I'm worried about rememebering everything until I have an exam?
Any tips to continually revise/what activites should I do to revise?
What do people exactly mean by doing more questions? I feel like I spammed through so many questions for my math ext 1 exam and in the end the marks I lost were silly mistakes/making a lot of small-ish mistakes in hard questions? (for context i got a mark of 55/60 rank 12th)
I'm not sure if...
For those people who are studying med (i think the forum above doesn't really discuss med specifically), but how did you guys study for the UCAT while being on top of school??
To a certain extent, I like all my subjects.... and so far my results in all of these subjects are fluctuating so idk
I guess when I look back, I would rather do everything than feel bad for "missing out" on a certain subject
How's your holiday studying going?
nahh i did accelerated maths advanced + mathx ext 1
so it boils down to 11 units anyway
(i wrote maths ext 1 coz my teachers say to keep revising it for ext 2 but yeah)
Hello everyone,
I feel like for most year 12 students these holidays are just going to be about studying, but I'm not quite sure what that studying actually means. I go to tutoring so I have covered the next term's worth of content already but idk:
1. how to remember everything until we do it...
Yeah I've heard that's by far the most useful thing you can do. A few questions tho -
1. Where would you recommend getting such type of questions?
2. Wouldn't it be more beneficial if I do these types of questions leading up to my exam OR if i do most of the questions now, what will I be doing...
Thanks so much! I finally understand what my teacher meant when you presented me with these questions. Do you know any places where I can get more of these types of questions that force you to think big?
Yeah I have no clue - when I used to go the Ngo and Sons, there were a lot of times where I didn't know what was happening but I think it was coz i just joined late. I have no idea what the situation is like now.
omg that is easier said than done! imagine one day i enter class where everyone has been sitting in the same position for the last 2 years and then suddenly i sit in a strange place all by myself (the tables are in groups of 6 and all the positions are already set)
I mean it's not a big deal like bullying but it makes me dread every biology class we have - and it infuriates me even more that out of all my friends, he is the person I spend the most with in class. I don't think i'll tell the teacher coz it lowkey seems like i don't have friends but I...
Would y
Would you recommend doing constant revision for all the topics? Or just the topics that will be assessed in the next assessment?
p.s. thank u everyone who's helping me these holidays - i'm so scared/confused!
Are you doing the whole chapter again for the topics you struggle with? or just harder questions?
Yeah that's pretty much it - i don't go to tutoring for english that's the only one
