Re: MX2 Integration Marathon
I got the question from some old handwritten questions my tutor gave me, and by old i mean 20 years old. I suspect he got the question from that old text book, but modified the question slightly.
Righto, I'll have to give that a go then :) thanks
Re: MX2 Integration Marathon
:/ I found a vey similar question in an old Coroneus textbook I have. The integral was the same, except the limits were from 0 to pi, where my method would work. The question I posted however has a previous part, so I guess it must be used somewhere in the...
Re: MX2 Integration Marathon
Oh, I didn't realise that, although now I think about it it makes perfect sense; and indeed you are correct, I get an I on both sides... Looks like it must involve another method...
Re: MX2 Integration Marathon
Yes, you are correct, lol that mistake is embarrassing. Nevertheless, I made the mistake twice, from sin to cos, and from cos to sin, and in effect it made no difference once I reached the end, I still had pi/4[pi/4-pi/4].
That's what I did
So after my software trial, I and the rest of my class has realised that there are so many things which we simply haven't been taught in class. Given we still have an assignment task to go before, and don't know any of the electives and about 40% of the rest of the course, what is the best way...
Thanks for that, makes sense I guess given the internals are moderated based upon te cohorts external performance. Given, it would still be beneficial to first overall, equal or not, than to rank > 1 wouldn't it?
Thanks for the estimate, I'll do my best to ensure it goes the right way :)
Thanks, I have begun thoroughly structuring my english study which is what I think has helped me the most.
Also, would you care to explain this as I don't quite understand how ranking equal first can have devastating effects. I can say that disregarding the say top 30-35 students in English...
Thanks for the estimate and the motivation. Throughout year 11 all I was ever told was that I had thrown away my ATAR by choosing standard english, which really shattered my confidence. Given my improvement in english I am much more motivated to achieve as high as possible Note my english rank...

^The PDF in that post is where I got the rank from. It's between 270-279 :)
My school is ranked in the 270's and my ranks are as follows:
English Standard: 13/97
Studies of Religion (1u): 23/54
Maths Ex1: 1/17
Maths Ex2: 1/7
Physics: =5/20
Software Design: =2/9
Further school hsc info: My entire cohort is 140 students, last year there were 10-15 students that...
I doubt my atar would be a major factor, as I'm mainly looking at engineering or maybe science, and my ranks so far are indicative of an atar in the 90's, which doesn't rule out many courses in those faculties.
What sold you on UNSW?
I'm in year 12 at the moment, and I've been doing research on different uni's and courses for months now. Quite frankly, the amount of options I have is really overwhelming.
I don't want advice on which uni is the best or which course is the easiest, but what I'm looking for is how others have...
