Which/what type of scholarship are you on?
Also; what was the thought process on deciding on studying overseas and deciding which lab to choose? For example, "It was was an easy choice because british chicks> oz chicks" (<-- I just made that up; but you know what I mean).
Also; if you...
bump for you... and I have no knowledge about rent as I'm quite local. Eastern suburbs is not cheap. I've heard (at best) its $200 for rent/per person outside of uni from somebody that use to live on campus.

Cheers, thanks for the answers --> What about the process for attaining a scholarsip to study overseas?
How much do marks matter; an do they weight to honours year?
I'm pretty sure they place you in a lab. I'm a med scientist; but the 'work experience' will either be you doing leg work for your supervisor (like making gels, running an experiment, etc). or you'll have your own project to complete where you already know the techniques behind it.

No reason why this well can't e about post grad too.
I was thinking about doing my PhD overseas in England. Don't really care about which uni. What was the process for you/ how about did you end up with the score at Cambridge?
I agree with everything survivor said; just wanted to add some comments.

Wow --> you learn something new everyday. I could've sworn that you had to pay; even my supervisor at work who used to work at UNSW said her PhD students had to pay up. But, its good to know/gives incentive for me to stick around sydney for the next 4 years or so.
I'ma domestic student. I...
Gl with it. Its competitive. Keep posting your questions. Anything goes (for example, whats it like living 10 minutes away from uni? so sick). you get the idea.
Believe it or not..there are caucasian ppl at UNSW. And Believe it or not; there are alot of asians that don't hang around JUST asians. And yes; I think they do enjoy it at UNSW. %-wise --> idk -> I'm a scientist; so I'm going to say 80% for ARTs.
