ahh should've made it clear, I was looking for rider training courses. The mechanics of braking and steering change with higher speed on single track vehicles.
At one point me and a few mates all took our cars to an empty carpark and popped maccas trays under the back wheels and hooned around...
You know who else shares that opinion? The people that make laws. NSW is the only state in Australia with those limits imposed on learner and provisional drivers. Funnily enough, you don't see every single learner or p plater in victoria wrapping themselves neatly around a pole the second they...
On one hand I want to hit eastern creek and play casey stoner but I know that I'm nowhere near good enough to have as much fun on my bike as I can. In hte meantime, I want a full 8 hours on braking or steering or something.
It's something that I probably wouldn't pick up myself and would help...
Yeah I was looking to get some private on road coaching + maybe a couple of runs on a range before sitting my MOST next year but then yeah I got pinged. Might just wait out the suspension if it ever comes and then get something done between semesters.
Also graney, how much of it was theory...
I think it was in finland that you had to do 20hrs classroom training, 30 hours supervised with an instructor and pass a skidpan test doing scandinavian flicks and picking correct throttle points on hilly roads etc to get a license.
Just wondering how many people have taken private tuition (track/skidpan/classroom theory) since/before getting their licenses, given all the holier than thou stuff being spouted in the other thread. Driving with an instructor for your Ls doesn't count.
I have riders/drivers and have nil...
Everything in this post is wrong. iirc it was in finland that they do something like 20 hours of theory and 30 hours of supervised driving with an instructor before they can get a license, and pass a skidpan test etc. The whole point of having someone there is to help point out things that they...
And exactly how are they meant to react? I'd say about 9/10 drivers would just jump on the brakes the second things start going pear shaped, and the other one is hte dickhead that blares his horn and flashes his lights expecting it to magically fix everything. It's a lot easier having someone...
Yes. Also, how is a learner going faster than 80 unsafe? Going fast on a highway isn't exactly dangerous - plenty of visibility, everyones going in the same direction.
people with fucking huge 4wds/trucks/vans etc that creep right up to the stop lines at intersections so you can't see traffic coming towards you
today it was a massive rig
more than happy that he has to wait ages for a gap big enough for him to turn right so i try to go left and chuck a uey at...
been thinking of heading down to a carwash with a friend and just pressure blasting it off
