Did anyone do the Western Region MX1 trial? How did you go, and what did you think of it? For comparison I received 99% and thought it was a pretty basic test.
So far haven't done a whole lot, but there's still a few more weeks:
*English - Finished History and Memory and Exploring Connections, still need to add a paragraph to Belonging and write an essay on the Critical Study
*Math (3U) - Pretty happy with what I know, can do most papers...
Yep that was the whole question. My teacher assumed that it started at an endpoint, but was also under the belief that assuming that fact was incorrect.
A particle moves in simple harmonic motion with acceleration = -49x. Initially the particle is 1m to the right of the origin.
a) Find the period of the motion (easy)
b) Find the maximum speed of the particle (I have no idea how to do this)
c) Find the times when the displacement is 0.5m...
I'm interested in how to solve this question. The way I did it (finding n as 3, integrating acceleration to find v, then finding the amplitude, then creating an equation in the form x = acos(nt + alpha)) seemed too complex and gave me the wrong answer for alpha (i got a positive when it should...
Hello
I am wondering how to do the following question:
The velocity of a particle is given by v = 1 / 6e^3x ms-1 where x is the displacement of the particle. If the particle is initially at the origin, find the equation of the displacement of the particle in terms of t.
I'm sure the solution...
Hello.
Hey everyone,
I'm wondering what estimated ATAR I would be looking at for my subjects.
My school rank is now approximately 300, however the 2011 group was a really bad cohort. Our cohort is very similar to (and probably a bit better than) the 2010 group in which they got a school...
I'm having a problem regarding a specific harder induction question. I'm not that great at the harder induction (I've only attempted one or two), so it may be an easy solution.
Question: For a sequence of numbers a_{1} = 2, a_{2} = 3 and a_{n} = 3a_{n-1} - 2a_{n-2} for all integers n \ge 3...
I'm one of those people who always memorise their whole essay (apart from top and tailing). Sure I still score well and get 17 or 18 out of 20, however I doubt I will ever get full marks by memorising. If you can write an essay by only using key points then I strongly advise you to do it. That...
