There's a study tips thread actually stickied onto the main prelim forum here. Of course, there are many others, just do a search on them. Strangely, I don't get excessively stressed over assessments or whatever much even if there's an unfinished (or unstarted, lol) assignment due the next...

You should have an original headline, a by-line, short sentences, quotes from professionals etc etc, in short, make sure you follow the correct feature article structure. If you don't have the structure already, ask your teacher or google it up. Oh, and a short anectote in the intro that you...

Just adding to what everybody's said, just give it a go and see how you'll cope, it's a whole lot better than spending some (or all) of your hsc year kicking yourself for not ever knowing if you're capable or not.
