    the third part of that asked about the max height when projected at that speed... i halved the range (which was 23.12 from memory, so it becomes 11.56) and subbed it in for x, and v = 14 something (in the cartesian eqn of motion). Was this the right method?

    weren't you supposed to start with the other expression and then differentiate it? Then substitute appropriately to get the above expression? for part ii) did anyone else get t = 0.26...? my working seemed correct. also for that projectile question what did people get for the speed required...

    didn't find it too bad considering i only started revision last week and i had many gaps in my knowledge. certainly could have done better though. lucky i know how to do all the mole/data calculations though - otherwise i would've been f&%ked 'cause my knowledge for short/medium response...

    Why do so few try?

    well you don't have to really try to do well (in my case). all i've ever done for SOR is about 2hrs of revision the night before and assessment (like today's trials) and i'm acing it. subject allows you to bullshit/waffle a lot so i use that to full advantage.

    yeah i had similar thinking. to me the house was just a metaphor for past experiences - they kept talking about filling the house. narrator couldn't understand woman because he never stopped to consider his expeience/or because the journey has come so far, and the person has changed so much...
