Physics? Finance? If you're interested in the mathematical portion of finance - then you take mathematics, not physics, I'd say. If you're interested in the mathematical portion of physics - then I believe there is a major called "Mathematical Physics". I know someone doing that.

Trials are supposed to be difficult though.

High ATAR's are difficult to get for most of us though. You just have to motivate yourself, unfortunately.

Well, that's exam technique thing - not concept understanding failure. If you enjoy it, and can do most of it, then you keep doing it until you get a better reason to drop.

Depends how good you are at maths. If you're good, then it's a small step. I'd say it's a moderate step up. Some of the topics are challenging. Best way to find out is to take the subject yourself.

Not really "everything", more like... bits that aren't learned - like z-scores and some of the stats stuff. Most of it is very easy, more like Year 10 revision.
