How many times can you juggle a football (soccer ball) ?

50? It depends- I'm a bit inconsistent- sometimes I only get like 5 but if you get into a rhythm- around that. Not sure why I can't do more though- its the same thing over and over but I've never gotten much higher than that

    Identifying a convergent/divergent series

Look at the harmonic series (particularly the comparison test under the divergence heading): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harmonic_series_(mathematics)

    Help! Hard magic square?

No idea. That's why it sucks- someone asked me and a few others and no one has any idea what is going on with this puzzle. I reckon if you find a pattern, even if it doesn't work diagonally- stuff it- I'll take it haha

    Help! Hard magic square?

Oh right haha sorry- that's why the magic square had a question mark after it. I tried all the obvious things (adding, multiplying, adding digits etc.) and none worked but I didn't know what to call it so I called it magic square? because it sorta looks like one.

    Help! Hard magic square?

Hey guys- Ok someone sent me this question and I'm stumped. Apparently the answer is 18 but not 100% sure. Either way, if anyone could give me a reason why the answer is 18 (or any of the other options), that would be amazing. Cheers =) Question: What is the most likely number needed to...

    Please! Freaking out

Definitely the latter. I won't lie and say that everyone can get 98 in MX2 if they work heaps hard but definitely- hard work is the main ingredient. I think you'll be fine. Good luck!

About all this thinking stuff- I would say 2012 HSC required quite a lot of thinking. The two satellites question with geostationary orbit one is all thinking, the projectile was very hard by physics standards and that electricity distribution was a nice question imo

    HSC 2012-2015 Chemistry Marathon (archive)

re: HSC Chemistry Marathon Archive It forms what's known as a co-ordinate covalent bond. I think you do this in module 3.

Tbh I don't think stress is that related to your course aim- stress is a very individual thing from what I've noticed. I know a lot of meddies and laws who never really got that stressed but others who were going for courses with lower cut-offs and were heaps stressed. Obviously things like med...

Year 11 2013 Chit Chat Thread

I disagree very strongly with the need to study 24/7 and not do anything else in life. From my experiences with everything, those with the very top marks weren't the ones who did nothing but study and I think this is because doing other things helps you focus more, clears your brain etc (plus it...

    Unsw aaa scholarship

This. I think the acceptance forms for most scholarships were sent on Friday. If you were meant to get one but didn't receive one- check firstly that you aren't using a different email and then maybe ask?

    Sleep vs HSC

I know its been said in this thread a lot of times but just to clarify for the final time- I know a LOT of 99.95'ers who slept 7+ hours a night. You don't need to limit yourself for sleep in order to get good marks.

    Sleep vs HSC

Don't do allnighters. You'll be way too tired to focus. You've got a lot of time until assignments- just prioritise and don't waste time on random stuff that isn't helpful and you'll be sweet. More generally, I recommend getting regular sleep- I never did an all-nighter during year 12. I would...

    Trigo. product

Hahaha I've done this question before (its either past HSC or in Terry Lee) but they led you through it massively. William's point of using the roots of z^7-1=0 is right I think. I'll try find the exact question).

Maths Tuition - 3U STATE RANK

Talent 100 is a similar rate (well at entry level anyway- not sure what happens if you've been there for a while). Another thing to consider is that it isn't just about the money. Like say for me, ok I can charge more for private than tutoring colleges would pay me but I do both because I like...
