Do most schools have people who leave 40-30 minutes early?

I'll just speak from personal experience- at my school, most of the people expecting 99.5+ ATAR's (so we're talking really top end now) are sociable, play sport, can interact normally etc. Obviously there are a few basements there but they aren't even the majority. I'm not sure if you're a...

Do most schools have people who leave 40-30 minutes early?

You are a retard. Just because you aren't at the top either academically or socially -> This is a classic example of Tall Poppy Syndrome. Luckily you won't ever be in a position to hire people because you don't understand life.

Do most schools have people who leave 40-30 minutes early?

Yeah I think so now. I think Soloo's original 'anti-elite' stance and Aaron's 99 ATAR=basement have shifted lol to a recognition that you can do well and be non-basement

Do most schools have people who leave 40-30 minutes early?

I'm not denying that basement's do not exist. I'm also saying that there are a lot of basement's without a 99 ATAR. The attitude that I hate is the generalisation that if you are getting a 99.7 ATAR, then by definition you don't have a social life.

Do most schools have people who leave 40-30 minutes early?

Ok now I'm definitely calling bullshit. You said a while ago you went to a selective school. I go to a selective school and NO ONE leaves early. There is no selective school in NSW where the majority of kids would leave a HSC biology exam before time is up

Do most schools have people who leave 40-30 minutes early?

Actually it matters very, very much. Not because of the actual ATAR- I don't care what others get as long as they do their best because everyone has different levels of natural ability etc. At the end of the day, if you reach your potential, that's all you can do and you should be proud. The...

Do most schools have people who leave 40-30 minutes early?

I don't want to get involved in any fights but just throwing this out there: @Aaron- you just claimed to get 97 in bio and in a thread a month ago, you said you got either 95 or 96 in english. How then did you get a 96 ATAR, and I quote "Up until yesterday, I never thought I'd make it remotely...

    Chemistry Marathon (HSC)

For every graph I'm pretty sure you need either a line or curve of best fit -> connecting the dots is definitely WRONG. You need to do your line so you have equal number of dots on both sides etc. For states, I think they pick one or two questions in the whole paper and mark just those on...

Which of these three students would have the greatest chance of getting dux?

By the criteria given its B. Tbh though that's a pretty crap system for determining dux- the best way is to just do it on ATAR after results come out imo- that was every individual subject is taken into account and you don't have issues like "Is 2nd in MX2 better than 1st in Economics" etc

    WTF? Books??

Do the year 12's at your school come back and sell books? They're probs the best people to get them from. For example, the Success One books are like 50 bucks in store, people sell them on BOS for like twenty or whatever, I got them for like $5

    Past Paper Question

You probs know this but just in case make sure you mention the size of the volumetric flask (I lost a mark for this in trials) -> for example: was placed in a 250 mL volumetric flask. Do calculations depending on the question (for example, 10g of X was dissolved in 100mL of distilled water ->...

Do most schools have people who leave 40-30 minutes early?

Nah no one leaves early at mine (though its a selective school so I would expect no one too because of the mentality of students being more academic etc.)

    Booklet Errors

Yeah you'll be fine- the marker would recognise what you've done and alert the people. This would be a (relatively) common thing

    Soooo pissed

I thought they had to send in a whole number to BOS- I could be wrong though? That's why we've got 5 people tied equal first in MX1 lol

From Quanta To Quarks: General Thoughts Discussion

I wrote about how proton= 2u and 1d and neutron = 2d and 1u. Up has a charge of +2/3 and down has a charge of -1/3 so this determines their charges. Also, down weighs more than up which is why a neutron is heavier than a proton

    Cyclohexene + Bromine Water?

I don't think it matters but I've always written it as alkane first and then add bromine water.

    Chem MC help

CSSA 2011- that's why I thought it was weird because I would have expected more clarity tbh (even something like 'assume the second ionisation is not complete' or whatever)

    Chem MC help

Yeah A is the answer. Oh ok- that makes sense. Say though if it was a three marker to compare the relative pH's of the two, do I assume full ionisation?

    Chem MC help

Hey guys, I'm probs just being a retard but I don't know why I got this wrong: Sulfuric acid is diprotic and we assume full ionisation in the core I'm pretty sure so doesn't that mean the H+ concentrations and pH will be the same?

    Chemistry Marathon (HSC)

Yeah you should know that much imo for B6 defs
