Predictions for exam 6-7 mark questions

I can't imagine a 6 marker on your chemist- there isn't enough to talk about. Iirc there was a 3 marker on it last year (or maybe year before) so I doubt they'd retest it. Personally, I'd love a Haber question but that might be too easy for those devious minds at BOS.

    When is your last exam?

Like three quaterts of BOS- the 6th. Though unofficially I finish on the 17th after paper two english haha- everything else becomes a lot less stressful and stuff after that imo

What is the equation of the line of equality for the Lorenz curve?

Actually you do need to know this formula- it has been tested before I'm pretty sure in HSC (if not HSC than in CSSA or IND)

    Creative writing predictions

Well I recommend you change it (srs)- there's no way it will be place again.

What is the equation of the line of equality for the Lorenz curve?

y=x but you don't need it-> you can tell its this because at every point, the x axis equals the y axis (if that makes sense -> badly worded)

    Multiple choice. Consumption function??

Well between year 1 and 2, income increased by 150 but consumption increased by 90 so the marginal propensity to consume is 90/150=3/5. Therefore the MPS is 2/5 and the multiplier is 1/MPS=5/2 So an increase in investment by $40bn will have a $40x5/2 increase in national income -> $100bn...

    Complex numbers help?

Consider the parallelogram formed by z1, z2, O and (z1+z2). Now note that |z1|=|z2| so all the side lengths are equal -> therefore its a rhombus Now z1+z2 is one diagonal and z1-z2 is the other (graph the on your Argand diagram to see). But the diagonals of a rhombus intersect at right angles...

    Math help

No lol- but you are summing 0.2 + 1 + 5 + 25 +... Everything to the right of the 1 is a whole number. So when you add them you get a whole number. So basically, when you add ALL the terms (including the 0.2 at the front), it has to end in 0.2 but the answer doesn't which is an easy way to tell...

    Math help

A simple way Fawun to check that the answer in the book is wrong is notice that 5 to the power of any integer is a whole number so you're adding 0.2 (the initial term) to a bunch of whole numbers. Therefore any correct answer has to end in .2, but the answer didn't -> therefore its wrong

Year 12 2012 Chit Chat Thread

Ours was similar as well. I think they have a mindset that the school is all you need to do well so things like tutors, learning ahead etc. are unneccesary.

Year 12 2012 Chit Chat Thread

Read ahead definitely imo. Not sure about your school but ours is too slow for 4U. Give it a try and if you can understand it by yourself, I'd recommend it because it gives you more time to practice

    game plan for eco test

Same as trials. Reading time: Read extended response questions. Pick which two to answer. Form a very rough plan in my head. Flick through rest of short answer (taking especial note of 5 markers) MC: Finish in 10-15 mins -> no real time limit but yeah, just quickly and efficiently Short...

Year 12 2012 Chit Chat Thread

Yeah I can accept both at the same time I think- imagine that- $14,000 in the first year haha. Though you know, just casually get .9, no worries- probs won't happen. I'll do my best though (will shout BOS lunch if I do- even Spiral) Edit: Changed first line because it read like I could get...
