Often double degrees take a shorter amount of time to complete than the two degrees seperately. Also, once you have a job, its often very hard to take the time to go back to uni. In my opinion, it makes sense to do all you uni stuff early on. Plus, you said you were looking at law. You'll find...

You don't find out what your mark in the paper is unless you pay for it. Are you sure he meant this? If so, then maybe 75 would be the equivalent raw mark but the 90 that is reported to you is the HSC aligned mark not the raw mark.

I'm assuming he meant 90 HSC mark in which case it would be equivalent to 90 HSC mark this year. If he meant 90 raw, we can't tell the conversion because different tests are easier/harder etc

Yeah that's stuffed. It makes sense for a school to maybe mark a bit harder than HSC (I know ours does and they do this to allow differentiation between people otherwise at most selective schools, averages would be too high to seperate) but an average of 14 is just stupid at a school in the top...

What do you get? I just did it very quickly and their answer is correct. The easiest way to do these is to ignore the square root and then root it later- factorise out the a^2, then expand and you should end up with a perfect square, factorise and then root the whole thing to get the answer.

Note that sec^2(theta)=tan^2(theta) + 1. Try using this to help eliminate theta- don't have time for a full latex sorry. Good luck

Sent it bro :) Did you do the last part of 16a- the one about finding k and c given that f(x) has symmetry around x=c? I got that wrong and I'm not sure how to do it properly- thought I had a method that made sense but obviously not lol unless it was some unco mistake somewhere?
