Section I - Law and Society

Courts, legal aid, specialist tribunals, and specialist peeps like the ombudsman. Although I went into a bit more detail and did more than three because I wasn't sure if I was answering it right...

    General Thoughts: Legal Studies 2005

I felt a lot better than I thought I would. I went in there worried I was going to get a band 2 and came out pretty confident about a high band 4 low 5. The big marks for crime sucked, but the rest was ok.

    Section III - Focus Studies

Family and Consumer, a for both. I didn't talk about financing a purchase enough for consumer and I think they were both fairly amorphous but I did a lot better than I expected to. I managed to make reference to a fair few topical issues so that was good.

Section I - Law and Society

I took my time and I think I did good. Was much better than other years I 'd seen.

    how much did you write

I deliberately spaced stuff out, and I got into a second booklet for all sections... I think it was about 12/11/10 Funny though because I think that the the amount I wrote is inverse to how well I answered the question....

    Let down?

Who's the YOUNGEST 2005 HSC Student in here?

Yeah, i'm the youngest at my school but I figured there'd be some quality people out there who can beat me :D. It makes me feel good though because I'm better than a whole lot of people who are 1 and a half years older than me, so when I get bad results I'll hang onto that thought :D.

I've got 9, with 8 to go... It was a stupid decision but I just didn't know which subject to drop!

Who's the YOUNGEST 2005 HSC Student in here?

I know I'm not the youngest... but I'm pretty young at 16, turning 17 on the 28th of November. I do 13 units...

    How Much Did U Write?

How can you physically write enough to fill four booklets in 40 mins??? Do you use 4 words a line or are you just trained to write incredibly fast? I can't remember how much I wrote I think it was like 6/6/6 which I wasn't happy with. I was expecting to at least fill and possibly even get...

    birthday letters help!

Our teacher pointed out that a) a lot of people who do Hughes will immediatly do plath too and therefore you're less likely to stand out and b) that you're kind of limiting the scope of your argument. That said, I'm sure you could do well with plath's stuff.

Telling The Truth - My Finished essay, but needs *something*

My teacher advised us to lead with your big punches... they're deciding your mark from the start, and if they start off thinking "20/20" they won't go down so far, where as if they're thinking "10/20" at the start, it's much harder to get back up to the top end. However, a memorable finish...

    structure of imaginative journey essay

I do mine text by text, but I do this slightly differently. I start with our prescribed text - "on Giants' Shoulders" by Melvyn Bragg and have three paragraphs based around that covering the author's intentions, and then the IJs of two scientists (if you've read the book you'll get me) and then...

POMO: How To Use Supplementary Texts

Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble deciding on how to use supplementary texts. I have quite a few video clips, movies, novels, etc. that I recognise as postmodern, however, I am unsure of how to link them back to the idea of paradigms etc. I can clearly see postmodern techniques, but somehow I...

    religious justification of sex

I normally hear about the Ten Commandments being separated into many more groups than two... oh well. Genesys, what do you call adultery then? I think it's sex outside of marriage myself... Upon checking dictionary.com which has never failed me in the past I retract this argument. *hums to...

    religious justification of sex

I doubt it, considering Jesus came along and did plenty on the Sabbath... I don't think he had sex outside of marriage though... :D. EDIT: That smiley is weird looking! By the way, our understanding of the word work has changed, our understanding of the word adultery hasn't... I still...
