    Homosexuality in Australia

I think homosexuality reduces humanity to animals in that it denies the human will's ability to overide instinctive behaviours which govern animals. Also, philosphically a living organism is able to nourish itself, grow and to reproduce. The first two are for the survival of the individual. The...

    Homosexuality in Australia

I can never reach a consensus with you dagwoman so long as you view morality as (correct me if i'm wrong but this is the impression i got) merely an advancement in beastial instinct. I believe that there is an infinite gulf between actions dictated solely by instinct (as the case with homosexual...

    Homosexuality in Australia

I'm saying you can't argue that homosexuality is alright because it happens in other animals and then refer to morality. you have reduced humanity to animals and then referred to what distinguishes us from them.

    Homosexuality in Australia

I wasn't making a point about how homosexual unions shouldn't be recognised (although you can probably guess this is my view) it was just about using the term marraige to denote the union. Also you presented a perceived conflict bewteen natural action and moral action. I would like some...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Marraige refers to not just a legal, but a spiritual binding of a man and a woman. Just because a person might think they have the same kind of spiritual connection with another of the same sex doesnt entitle them to hijack the term marraige which is defined by and has always traditionally been...

This Lime Tree Bower, My Prison

Juxtapose "This lime-tree bower my prison" with "This little lie tree bower". Symbolism- the ash tree which climbs through the dell to reach the sunlight is symbolic of Coleridge as he ascends from his prison and is able to see everything hile physically not moving. Hope this helps.

This Lime Tree Bower, My Prison

Sorry i have to disagree. The whole point of the poem and coleridge's imaginative journey is that it intimately connects him to reality, or more specifically to nature. Coleridge was a romantic (as in roman) and therefore believed in the healing powers of nature. With this in mind it is easier...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Science is used to suppress if not cure symptoms of disease. Either way, going off that principle, if you have a rash you don't scratch it.

    Ethanol as a Car Fuel

I just think you need to be aware of how much land will need to be cleared to accommodate the expansive plantations required to meet the demand. This may be even more damaging to the environment.

    Homosexuality in Australia

A disease is any factor which affects the body's normal condition. The reproductive organs are for reproduction. Therefore if a chemical imbalance entices behaviour to the contrary, then why isn't that a disease, seeing as it impairs normal function?

    Road Not Taken

It is easy to mix up symbols and metaphors, sometimes you can even get away with interchanging them. In the road not taken, the fork in the road is a symbol for the choice he has to make, with the extended metaphor for life blah blah being conveyed through techniques used to portray the setting...
