You might have some problems finding potential sellers as this semester they're using a new textbook prepared by truvert, most probably from people who bought the textbook but dropped the unit at the start of this semester

Though a disadvantage of doing that will most probably be studying while working. I myself am going via the double degree route to get my part IIs.

Are you already enrolled in UWA because if I remember correctly Curtin recently obtained Part I recognition for their acst degree.

From what I gathered, the 2 units in Part III being outsourced to MU is meant for all that will be studying their Part IIIs. Go for either Macq or UNSW though the latter if you can get Co-op because thats definately an advantage.

Did ACCG253 last sem, never bought the textbook but borrowed it from friends each week to get the tutorial questions. You might want it because it contains more detailed information than the lecture notes, etc. Feel its similar to ACST101 in the sense that the textbook is not required.

I did 15 cp for my first 2 semesters and 16cp for the third semester which just ended. Getting approval shouldn't be much of a problem if your GPA is sufficiently good, maybe the actuarial studies department is more lenient, not sure.

I did 114 last semester, the theoretical section isn't that interesting. The SQL coding is relatively simple. Got a D so it's not that bad.

I don't think it actually meant that we couldn't use later versions of excel but there might be a potential for errors since the spreadsheets were created using 97 or 2000 (can't remember). Additionally, it also stated that there might be a bug with xp or 2003 generating odd random numbers...
