Yes but Law is a very comeptpeive course, as there are individuals who do their LAT exams and are more deserving to reach the course rather than someone who would enter with a 85 atar, completing no prequisites. Law is prestigious at UNSW, so they only accept talented people from gateway schools.

Being fr, its unlikely you'll get into law at UNSW, its hella competitive, but that doesn't mean you don't try. Nothing is impossible.

He clearly wants higher, so it don't really matter. And a 70% can be done by anyone and prolly this person gets around this percentage. Although why not aim higher and try to maximise your atar. mid band 5s are pretty achievable for english.
