    Media/Communications

USYD media and comm is essentially still an arts degree if you are looking to do artsy subjects, your histories, philosophy etc etc go to MAC because you have a wider option for your media degree (cultural/visual/writing). but going to UNSW might *look* better, but to do anythign in the...

    Combined courses

they usually make you do combined law because traditionally they want you to study another discipline.(and is that the right word) theres no real reason for this i think. as far as i know in america theres no such thing as undergrad law. okay..doing a combined law degree for example..in...

    Arts/law degree

i reckon UAIs will be bumped up to the 96 range next year i've been told sydney's the one which is very strict and impractical in its teaching..its only the prestige mac's law would be based on usyd's though..if you look at the history it was started by usyd people (is that right? i...

    Transfer Q's

they told me the NRSL cutoff for this year for arts (media and comm) was the same as the UAI... is this some official response because they don't like the cutoffs published? or does this just apply to arts? and ok...is jurisprudence somewhat equivalent to legal history? i tend to think...

    media/law

95.65 this year (see that late round offer? 99.1 jeez) yeah seems like quite an appealing degree aye? Theres not much more i can tell you about the degree than if you ask law students how law is and media students how media is. Media is quite interesting (even doing stuff in an Aust...

    transfer between unis

i'm in (almost exactly) the same position as you media at syd is good cos you get a large option of arts but really...uts is probably the most interesting place to do media i wanna transfer to bcomm (media and production) + law or plain media at uts... OR arts (media and comm) at usyd...

    Transfer Q's

NRSL requirements higher? as compared to UAI? so how would that Law at Sydney thing work? mid 99s compared to 96.5 ? what the okay more specifically would the NRSL mark be higher than 98 for Arts (media and communication) at USYD? and can they take into account other things in the same...

question about the macq GPA system

I'm told (at UTS) when you submit your personal statement already having done a year of law at mac will give you substantial leverage. your marks are put through UAC again yeah? so how is entry determined? with 2005 UAI's?
