How to Write Notes for Maths Exam

If you're struggling I would suggest getting a little notebook and writing down all basic formulas/techniques for the topic. For the more difficult questions copy down an example as well as how you did it and any additional notes. Idk, that's what works for me :)

Year 11 HSC subject selection questions

Okay, quick note. 2 unit maths is a two unit course. Ext Maths is a ONE unit course that must be taken with the 2 unit course. So, effectively you are doing 3 units of maths, however only one of them is extension and the other two are regular mathematics. When you are filling out your selection...

For someone doing the 5.2 course should i be doing 2U Mathematics next year??

My maths teacher who is just out of high school said the content in 5.3 is similar to 2 unit maths. Based on this, if you want to challenge yourself with a higher level of maths and are currently in 5.2, try 2 unit out for a few weeks and see if it is too much of a jump or not. You can always...

    Extension Maths?

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll give it a go but if I really dislike it I'll definitely drop it knowing it isn't anything major. I think I'll stick with BS actually, really looking forward to it. 16 units!? Is that even possible??

Subject Selection- Need help with the choosing of a few subjects!

Start off with as many units as you can grab. There are numerous occasions where you can drop them if necessary and it just gives you a lot more choice to decide on whichever you prefer :)

What subjects are you doing for 2014?

No, I'm aiming for a career in finance or law so I don't even have to do Ext 1. I would be doing Adv if my teacher didn't insist I try Ext first :)

subject selection for year 11 2014

I would suggest not dropping to Catholic Studies. It's not a board developed course and does not contribute to your atar. Studies of religion scales quite well so if you can handle it definitely keep it :)

    Subject Selection

Thank you to all. I think I will do Ext 1 Maths which means I will also have to do SOR II, at least for my prelim year anyway. As for my social science dilemma, I'm cautious about picking modern history in case I get depth studies that don't interest me. Thanks for your help, I will continue to...

    Subject Selection

I have a pretty good idea of what subjects I want to do for years 11 and 12 but just a few inquiries that I was wondering if anyone could help with. Firstly, is there much difference between Studies of Religion I and II? Secondly, I'm currently an A student in the maths 5.3 pathway, should I...
