Can someone please post their solution for the projectile motion?! I have no idea how they got L2 =2V2t2(1-sin@) -2aVtcos@ + a2 All i got was L2 =V2t2cos2 -2aVtcos@ + a2 after doing Δx=a-Vtcos@ and then squaring both sides. :confused:

they can ask you to do inequalities with projectile motion... well thats what i've seen, but usually projectile motion tends to be "trickier" than SHM. You don't always have to use the cartesian, sometimes it may be easier to use the equations for horizontal and vertical displacement; that is...

Past papers past papers past papers = best way to improve right now if you have the phoenix education practice questions book that goes topic by topic, then i suggest you whip that out and start doing some projectile motion or SHM because that is ALWAYS in questions 5-7.

I dont see why its not possible to get 100% in an exam, especially maths since all it requires is you learning theory and then applying it repeatedly.

actually... since one of the focii was 1+3i and x=ae then e=1/5 if you subbed this into b^2=a^2(1-e^2) and then find b, you will see that the ellipse cuts the x-axis so you had to calculate the next complex number and then find the argument from there.

the bloke probably jst forgot he had caps lock on....

for part d i said that the range for arg(z) was where the vectors from the origin touched the endpoints of the ellipse and then gave a value for it. i got something<=arg(z)<=pi/2

for the first one i said you can choose from 3 elements (W,L,D) .: 3 ways and ordering these is 4! so the total was 3.4!

i got 2 units as well

me too! omfg the INDUCTION KILLED ME... i did like 2 pages and then FINALLY i got it after reading the top bit lol i did the reduction question that was ok jst took time part a was hard, i found the derivatives and said that their multiples must equal -1 but it never did :( i only ended up...

it's not meant to act outwards... like vafa said it's always inwards :confused: maybe you're talking about the reaction force? sometimes the component of forces act outwards
