Changes on global economy impact BOP

That sounds like a tough essay, dont know if I have enough to write a whole essay on it, but here's some starting points: Globalisation would be the focal idea, I think. Trade liberalisation --> greater dependency on imports from cheaper nations --> CAD Financial deregulation ---> suceptible...

    Multiplier

I think everyones making this question harder than it is. Obviously the 'multiplier' itself doesnt affect economic activity, thats like the CPI affecting inflation, or something crazy. The simple multiplier, represented by k, is the measure, yes. BUT, the 'multiplier effect' is what it measures...

    another probability q.

    P(at least 3 tall)= P(3tall) + P(4tall) = P(5 tall) = 5C3.(3/4)^3(1/4)2 + 5C4.(3/4)^4.(1/4)^1 + 5C5.(3/4)^5(1/4)^0 =10.27/1024 + 5.81/1024 + 243/1024 =459/512

a probability question - past HSC

its x + 1, because you have the original $8000 (the +1) plus each additional $8000 (x) so, (x + 1)8000 = 200 000 will give how many times the jackpot must be missed to REACH 200 000, x + 1= 200000/8000 x=24, so after the jackpot is missed 24 times, the sum reaches 200 000, then, the next...

    Multiplier

Your first answer is ok, but not quite perfect. Perhaps: The multiplier refers to the flow on affects of an increased injection into the economy in the stimulation of further economic activity. This multiplier effect occurs as an increase in consumption will provide an increased profit or wage...

a probability question - past HSC

agreed that its 25... look at the question this way: for the jackpot to exceed $200 000, it must be not won 25 consecutive times, (and then it doesnt matter when its won after that, it will be more than $200000), so whats the probability that it will be not won 25 consecutive times? 0.985^25

    CSSA 2005 Essays

Although I offered my essays up, i'm not going to post them on here, (largely because theyre illegible and I would have to type them, and after typing another essay from my trial and judging by the pages, theyre at least 1300 words each, ouch) But I'll post an outline of what I wrote, thats...

    rubric help

Rubric isnt the same as the syllabus. I'm assuming you mean Rubric for the extended responses. Rubric is the box on top of an extended response question saying what you will be marked on, the rubric is not written in the syllabus (although derived from syllabus outcomes). For Section III...

    CSSA 2005 Essays

I got 19 1/2 for q27 which I would happily offer you, except that its my case study, so unless you're doing Japan, the strategies and hence pretty much the whole essay will be useless to you. My second essay from the trial [19/20] is from the Independent Trial, if someones looking for those...

    leni riefenstahl

I'm assuming the doco you're refering to is "The wonderful, horrible life of Leni Riefenstahl" by Muller? Shes definately amazing, and so amusing in it. Its probably one of the best sources on her around.

Do we need to know how to derive Binomial Theorem?

Yeah. Theres not definately going to be a question using it in the exam, its probably not even likely, but there has been before, and its not that hard to remember, so probably worthwhile. Example of its use in HSC exams: 1997 Q5, b) Theres another one I did for my friend yesterday, but I cant...

Ideas for ext assess next year...please?

Do Mexican mythology... "Investigate the theory that the god Quetzalcoatl was in fact an Icelandic sailor exploring the Atlantic during the 12th Century." Quetzalcoatl was the key subject of mine "Assess the role of religion - Mexican mythology & Catholicism - on the Conquest of Mexico" and I...

    Trials :)

I think mine was CSSA. My teacher's a HSC marker, and told our class after first reading our essays that there were a few which would get 25/25 in hsc, but he wasnt giving anyone 25 for the trial, because he doesnt want to get us all big-headed and stuff... then he gave me 25/25 (said it...

    Current account / captial account

How did everyone go in their trials?

96% (1st) Lost my marks on short answer, which is normally my strongest part, but full marks on multiple choice which is normally my weakest, strange. The exam was both CSSA and Independent (to avoid leaked papers).

Economics (Impact of Globalisation on Economy other than Australia)

Doesnt HAVE to be. Although, it is probably reasonable to say generally theres more interesting stuff to talk about in your essay if youre such an economy. I do Japan, and whilst its neither developing nor newly industrialised, however I find it thrilling and am never short of things to discuss.

    2005 CSSA 4U Marks/Results

I'm expecting a pretty good mark, but not because I did well and worked hard but because my teacher set the most piss-weak exam I've ever seen in my life. I think my mid course was harder! I finished the entire paper and the only study I did was looking at last years exam and realizing I couldnt...

Modern trial....what should I be studying?

NO! Australia has almost no relevance to this study, you wont get a question specific to Australia, EVER. Depending on how much Cambodia you've done you may get a question on it. There should be an option between 2 questions, you wont get both on Cambodia so if you dont know it, pick the other...
