Sorry, it didn't cross my mind. Macquarie Private Wealth and Funds Group I believe. A bit OT but how did your psych test go at Macq? I'm at the second stage (psych) as well for the Risk Management Group as well. Very slow process indeed.

In the first round interview with the HR person, they ask you questions about what you get up to in your spare time, what do you spend your weekends doing, etc Haha it would definitely be strange if they asked about drinking habits!

Lol where are you getting your info from? I know a few friends on credit averages who have already scored offers for the summer and even 2 last year who ended up with a grad position @ MacqBank. Shouldn't you be studying for your HSC rather than looking through the tertiary studies forums...

Should I defer for one year instead of choosing something i might regret?

I had a friend who enrolled into a course she wasn't particularly initially interested in but a year later, when time came to apply via UAC for the course that she wanted to pursue in year12, she said that she had "outgrown" her interest for her first preference back in 2006. Is it possible...

Best university for economics in Aust???

Arguably, ANU is the most internationally recognised university for economics because it has such a strong lead in terms of research mainly (some might say that this inflates the university's ranking and that it may not be a true reflection of whether or not it is the "best" university in...

    comm vs Eco

Advantages of B. Eco: - less core subjects - you needn't be worrying about how to structure your degree from the get-go (there IS room to move, however small it may be... so if you do decide that you don't want to major in Accounting in your 2nd year, for example, you still have time to switch...

    comm vs Eco

Read your handbook. If you're wanting to major in either Economics or Econometrics - definitely choose Economics. I find it less restrictive in terms of the way you structure your degree (less cores, if I remember correctly). It will give you the chance to re-think your majors in 2nd year...

English is a waste of life.

you could say the same for Maths then. why do we both to learn concepts beyond the simple + and - ? who cares about parabolas and algebra? (Engineers, Scientists...) English challenges you to be more open to texts which reflect certain contexts. It compels you to view the world of the text in a...

Read my Section 2 (Creative) Response...

also, English is a very subjective subject. let's hope the marker isn't an anti-postmodernist, old-fashioned lady/gentleman. haha. sometimes you get rewarded for taking the risk. other times, the marker may interpret it differently and see it as a story with no substance. there are many...
