Work Experience with a GP or Hospital

My mum is a GP, and one of my friends did work experience with her. The receptionist just asked each patient before they went in if they minded having a work experience kid in there, most of them didn't mind, a few said no, but you have to expect that. Its good especially if you go to a...

USyd Students - the VSU Era - What will you do?

Thats a shame if its true because the SRC fees were the only ones i was definately going to pay next year. I agree with the services the SRC offers (Centrelink help, legal advice, short term loans etc) but i dont agree with the rallies where a select few students go on a rampage and assault...

    Animal and Veterinary Bioscience

I totally agree. The reality is, people are stingy, even rich people dont want to spend lots of money on their pets. and if they did have to spend a lot of money on their pet, they're not exactly going to be willing to shell out a whole lot of cash to fund genetic research etc, which is what...

    ALP to abolish full-fee places

I'm so divided on the fee paying issue. I dont believe people should be able to buy their way into a place at uni, and i think we as a country should stay well away from the American style of college education where parents have to start college fund for their kids before they are even born...

    Sydney Uni Live volunteers?

The people who work in all the Information stalls etc (wearing the blue shirts) are not volunteers, they are trained staff. There are however usually Union people around on the day who might be volunteers, so maybe contact the Union or ask at a contact desk on campus.

    vet science =D

hey guys, congrats and welcome to vet science! This degree will probably be the hardest thing you will have done in your life so far, but believe me, when you deliver your first animal, and are holding a squirming, wet, screeching baby animal in your hands, it is so worth it! Just some...

    Central Station?

Ahem... try the vet buildings.... still, its only a 20 min walk, and its mostly downhill in the mornings. Its quite enjoyable actually, better than cramming on a bus filled to overflowing with other people.

    Fee at enrolment

with the EFTPOS, most peoples withdrawal limit is $2000 per day. You will need to call your bank and increase this for the day of enrollment if you intend to pay your HECS upfront.

Bridging Courses - Chem & physics

what course are you going to do? it makes a difference, because in my course (vet) physics is a reccomended subject, but you dont use it at all, so a bridging course would be a waste of time. A friend who did the chem one said it was really good, especially for the prac classes, because once...
