    Difference between enzyme and substrate

Hey Just a quick, stupid, question (said in the title, dont need to repeat it) Like I know that the substrate is the surface that the enzyme acts upon, and I know the many models (induced, lock and key), but what, specifically, is the difference between the two? Cheers

Hey Just a simple question; how do you study. I have written summary notes on palm cards for all the topics of my 6 subjects. But I have found them not very useful, simply because when reading my palm cards i get distracted, and don't take as much in. I recently have found practise papers...

"N" in fertiliser - standard solution

Makes sence....wish I read it earlier...I handed it in yesterday. I worked it out to be roughly 25%, which is horribly wrong, but hey it's better than nothing. I pretty much lost you in this step: I think what you worked out was the amount of nitrogen in the 60mL solution...which has a...

"N" in fertiliser - standard solution

Well what else do you want?? I used 15.7mL of HCl in the titration, against 25mL of the boiled fertiliser mixture. In the fertiliser mixture was 60mL of dissolved fertiliser, 60mL of NaOH, and 150mL of water. The HCl was 0.1M, and the NaOH was 0.1M. Anything I missed?

"N" in fertiliser - standard solution

Might as well post this is the same topic. I am have done the experiment, which i now realise was a back titration, and am now calculating the concentration of Nitrogen. And because it was my first time doing a back titration, I kind of have very little idea what to do. I have found these...

"N" in fertiliser - standard solution

Can somebody please confirm if deionised water will affect the overal concentration of nitrogen molecules???? Because as far as I can tell, by adding water, you are diluting the nitrogen, which, in the end, will affect the final result. thanks

"N" in fertiliser - standard solution

But won't it affect the concentration? Hence the final readout?
