The last time I tried the Pad Thai there (the one in the arcade), it tasted like sugar! Apparently they got confused?? I never liked it. It's oily, sweet and they put the receipt on top of your noodles. Arggh. I've fell in love with CoC, but it's freaking expensive.

From my experience, to avoid dying, prepare and do the labs before coming for labs. You will ace everybody else this way and everybody who survived 1711 last year will tell you preparation really helps. Regarding Pace's comments about SENG'ers staring at the comp screen 24/7, I'd beg to differ...

With so much invested into Vista, I think the university would like to encourage its use as much as possible to replace the aging CE.

I'm currently using one of those Toshiba M50. I don't think it's good at all. Should probably consider the Acer Aspire 5502 or the HP/Compaq ones. I've always had Compaqs before this and they are very reliable and robust imho.

I think UFY's course content is quite simple (watered down, perhaps?). You should seek help from your lecturers, tutors and the learning centre as I reckon these are the best avenues for assistance.

Requirements Engineering is very useful and should have been better taught imho. I really like to see this course integrated into CSE.

I'd suggest you e-mail them and follow it up by calling the relevant school on this issue if the school's web site does not have any specific announcements regarding this course. E-mail replies are expected to be slow during this time of the year, so calling up might be a good thing I suppose...

I'm so sorry. Should have made my comments clearer. I was simply hinting at the fact that there are many Singaporeans and Malaysians in university who converse well in English.

Contrary to popular belief, I think there are still many international students who speak English as a first language and coincidentally, they do come from Asia. :)

I don't know if this affects anyone else, but COMP3711/3710 has not been added onto myUNSW for enrolment last I checked. I am also having trouble enrolling for COMP2111. It keeps giving me an error "Error:Non-associated related class component; student not enrolled in class".
