i think it would depend on what you're saying, sometimes they would be justified in getting defensive. another thing is, there's a big difference between being honest and being insensitive or harsh. if it's something you know will upset the other person then it's usually best to tone it down...

i use the ones randwick council gave out to the schools in the area and it's made of calico but it's the same idea i guess. i don't use it as much as i used to but i like the concept and i usually don't get plastic bags at supermarkets cos i don't need them.
