    Well youve got 45 mins per section.....and in a 40 min time period i can write around 1200 words max, so in 45 mins i can prolly write around 1350 words.     Well i think if you can get those marks in the HSC exams, you'd be lookin at 80s UAI, im guessing 83ish. But yeah you should still aim to improve those marks :)

    Well then in that case, I reckon ur definitely gonna get above 65 UAI as jemsta said. I'm guessing a UAI of around 73 ? But yeah, i youll get above 65 if u perform that well in the hsc exams :)

    Yeah i noe they get aligned lol. That's why i wanted to noe if those marks were trial marks, so instead of putting those raw marks into SAM, we bump them up a bit.

    Well, it wouldn't hurt to know how all that stuff works. Plus it straightens out what most people get confused about (the differences between scaling, aligning and moderating), and I personally find it interesting =P

    High Modality?!

    Well i think "low modality" means a sense of uncertainty or something along those lines....so "high modality" should mean the opposite =P So yeah that ties in with what zingerburger said: high modality = strong argument; certainty, etc.

    I'm ranked 2nd in Mathematics Extension II, and i go to a school that was NOT ranked in the top 200 schools in the HSC last year. Theres like a 10% relative difference between me and the guy coming 1st. I read that the Board tries to maintain the gaps between the students during the moderation...

    Great marks !!! You're prolly looking at AT LEAST 98+ UAI, and i think you have a good chance at getting 99+, provided you go that well in the HSC, or even better. I presume ur ranks arent too bad either.

    Y12 Next Year- Tips for English (adv)

    Each module and the Area of Study has like a statement in the syllabus, which describes what students are expected to do. When studying, revising, etc make sure youve read through those statements in the syllabus and you understand it because the essay questions will come out of those statements...
