i support the idea of gap years particularly if you are unsure of what to do at uni. a year spent working or travelling can clear your head and give u time to think of what you want to do @ uni- should u choose to :)

those two concepts are pretty much interlinked. because of the amish people's beliefs and ways of living make it appear as the 'good' side whereas 'modern civilisation' is presented as the 'evil' side, seen through the use of guns, violence etc... if i were you i would discuss these themes...

always underline keywords to questions. that way it'll make it easier to understand what they're trying to ask you to do. try and reword the question so that you can understand it. take a deep breath and dont just launch into the question head on :) for example, with that question they asked...

well even old bats are sometimes right :) yes thats why its called a 'close study of text.' the emphasis on CLOSE STUDY without any other stimulus.

if your into animals theres the cat protection society, RSPCA or animal welfare league... volunteers have a commitment of @ least once a fortnight.

i went to all my lectures except the ones for biology. the lecturer kept reading off the slides - not really lecturing- so i just downloaded them and went through it myself.

failing CAFS? i didnt know you could... :P did u incorporate doing past exam papers UNDER EXAM CONDITION into ur study? did u understand the questions in the exam? was it more a case of running out of time?

modernity? is that even a word? and maybe substitute 'good' vs 'evil' instead of moral vs immoral (and btw i think its 'morality' vs 'immorality'
