    What do you guys regret?

I try not to regret anything because it has made me who I am today.. But I really, really, really regret not taking mathmatics despite being capable of it (lazy choice) and I wish I had not done extension 1 english. I love extension 2, don't get me wrong, but extension one is the one...

    Genre: Elective 2- Crime Writing

Hey everyone. So, my extension one exam is coming up, which means other peoples exams probably coming up soon too... D: What are the most important things to revise? What should we know in terms of genre? My teacher said it's an idea to have a few quotes from genre theorists to use in an...

    Swearing in Extension 2 Work.

In my short story, I have an intense murder scene where the characters abuse each other. I thought it was fair enough, you know, if you're getting murdered, you're probably not going to say, "Oh dear, I'm getting stabbed." What do you think? Some people say swearing is okay as long as it's...

Is it ideal to have a study plan for the HSC?

I think my biggest problem with study timetables is that sometimes I'm just not in the mood to do a particular subject, so I just won't. I have so much trouble just sitting down and doing the work, but don't we all?

Is it ideal to have a study plan for the HSC?

... and if so whats the best way to do it? I'm ADHD and I tend to procrastinate a lot (I'm meant to be doing my english assignment now). What do you guys think? I really want to do well this year. I'm prepared to work, but I'm not sure what the best way to go about it is. Thanks :D

How much Study did you do in Prelim?

Had intentions of studying. But used Facebook to procrastinate. Now I'm in year 12 and using Bored of Studies to procrastinate doing my english assignment. :hammer:

    Roll Call: Class of 2012

Should I drop English Advanced and move down to Standard?!!???

Stick with it for a little while longer if you can tolerate it. That way you'll have a better taste for HSC english, then you can make a more informed decision.

Computer VS Handwriting (+ how to study?)

I'm having a lot of problems just sitting down and settling into the study routine. I'll look up this Pomodoro Technique, thanks :D

    I want a 99+ atar

It's a good idea to get into good studying habits when you are in year 11, but don't stress too much- I've heard of people trying really hard in year 11 and just ending up burnt out for year 12. Goodluck! :)

I need to loose weight has anyone any excercise or diet tips?

http://brainoverbrawn.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/brainoverbrawn.pdf This is really good. A friend recommended it for me, so I had a read. In my opinion, it is worth looking at. It's an actual published book too, with 5 star ratings on amazon.com. It's free, btw. Goodluck! :)

Thoughts and reflections on your Yr 11 subjects?

I'm dropping Spanish. It's just not relevant to what I want to do in uni. I do enjoy it, but I enjoy my other subjects more. If I had more units I would have done mathematics and chemistry. Hate maths, that's why I didn't do it, but I suppose it's good to have.

    Preliminary Exams

Ours are week 9, two exams a day for a week. But I only have like 20 people in my year, so it doesn't really need to be spread out.
