macq only offers you a single major whereas the other uni's offer you to do 2 majors, so maybe you could do accounting + finance (seems to be a popular mix), whereas at macq u would only have accounting..

Yes, as the core subjects are prerequisites for alot of the major subjects, no matter what major you choose.

I was in the same position as you Benmontague, but didnt have MACQ in my mind. Instead it was more UTS/UNSW/USYD. After going to the opening days and etc it became clear that UTS was the place for me to go for marketing and advertising. It is true, that EVERYONE does say UTS is more practical...

If this hasn't been said before, have you considered going to UTS doing a major in Marketing, like you said, and combining it with a major in Advertising and Promotions Management? Those two majors complement each other very well, and from what I think, UTS is the only uni in Sydney that offers...

Cool, I wanted to do advertising and promotions management, but scheduling difficulties made me do it in spring next year. Ill do be doing consumer behaviour, intro marketing research, business marketing and my first option; international marketing :)
