I'll be teaching a course on Creative Writing at various libraries

I will be holding a Creative Writing Course at Cabramatta/Fairfield/Liverpool/Parramatta or Ingleburn Libraries in March. (I apologize for the 3 or so threads, but since there is not just one single English thread I had to post it again) We've all heard so called 'expert writers' and...

I will be holding a Creative Writing Course at Cabramatta/Fairfield/Liverpool/Parramatta or Ingleburn Libraries in March. We've all heard so called 'expert writers' and teachers tell us "Write what you know." That's it? "Write what you know?" And what about the old "Show don't...

    Related text Incredible Hulk (2008)

I'm going to have to apologize, but the answer is no, and I get a lot of these questions all the time. The chief reasons are these: - Whilst it retains some themes about belonging, a 'pop' text like 'The Incredible Hulk' will not have the higher level themes, or an infinite number of themes...

    My dilemma.

That's great! That's what I did back in Year 12. Here's a link for some useful info I gave: http://community.boredofstudies.org/818/concept-belonging/238634/language-techniques-you-like.html It's just advice I gave to another student about "As You Like It". It will help you, I promise...

    Best game in each genre

I liked it too :) But the junction system was REALLY annoying. I also thought all the girls had weird weapons.... I didn't play it when it first came out, so that's probably why it doesn't strike a chord with me that much. :(

    Short story/creative writing/belonging

^ What markers abhor is teen angst, and the senior marker (Peter) told me that at least 70% of the material is just that. He also indicated that regardless of your level of writing, writing in this area cannot earn you more than a C to C+ score at most. I have quite a lot of tips, but I just...

^ btw, Can we please stop this argument? It's getting quite pointless, and I don't think either of use are benefiting from this. We're just getting frustrated and becoming unnecessarily foolish/crude. Let's just bury the hatchet and move on to other things.

    Best game in each genre

Ever heard of the word 'example?' That's because you're too blind to realize what the point is. Again that is just YOUR opinion, how is that using other 'factors?' Other factors are stats, which are objective, i.e, sales. Let's look at my Post shall we? That's weird, I see no mention of...

r international students the problem to our DOMESTIC STUDENTS ability to find jobs?

Re: r international students the problem to our DOMESTIC STUDENTS ability to find job That's terrible! Why don't we all work harder at getting a job instead of making people scapegoats and drag them to the sacrificial alter?

You know what? This is ridiculous and I do not have the time on my hands to keep arguing with you. I don't understand what you don't get. If you played KOTOR for instance, and thought the 'content' was shit, it does not mean the game itself is shit, as sales replicate that a majority of people...

    Best game in each genre

Thus, if you acknowledge this, explain how this game can be ranked higher than a game which consist entirely of survival horror, and is the pinnacle of the genre - i.e. Silent Hill 2. No, that's not what I meant. I mean Starcraft at the time it was released, was an anticipated games, loved by...
