    Photoelectric effect

Whats a step-wise function? Like what if a hsc question was like explain why frequency increases with photocurrent...surely that isn't what u're supposed to give right? @carrotsss (u both hv contradiciting things so thats why i tagged u)

    Electromagnetism Question

Millikan oil drop is module 8, so maybe thats why you don't know. But using F=qE and F=mg, equating it and making d the subject (E=V/d), you get d=qV/mg. Subbing in known values should get you the correct answer.

    Mathematical Induction

I mean essentially you just want to change the LHS algebraically into something which you can use your n=k/assumption. Then simplifying that should give you the RHS. Do you have specific examples? Usually induction questions are pretty straightforward.

    Photoelectric effect

could you perhaps explain why photocurrent increases with increase to frequency? Carrots said it doenst increase so im kinda a bit confused as to who to listen to

    Trial Q - Binomials

It's just part of the binomial theorem, the nc3 and nc4 is always there for any expansion, same as nc1, nc2, etc. It's another way to write pascal's triangle, or (n 3) ( except it's meant to vertical that's why i did nc3 instead)

    Trial Q - Binomials

So it's pretty much just binomial expansion. Do you know how to do it?

    Trial Q - Binomials

So we can rearrange what's in the bracket to make it simpler: (1+y(x+y))^n Since the question asks for the coeff for x^3y^5, Expanding it using binomial theorem you will get something like nC3 (y(x+y))^3 + nC4 (y^4(x+y)^4) But you realise the only term that works is nC4 (y^4(x+y)^4 since the...

Module 6. The motor effect. Question

I'm not sure what formula you used to find 71.62, but heres my method Use this formula, this is the force per unit length for a parallel conductor. This question is asking you to find current. Rearranging for current and subbing in known values you will get I1*12=225. (Here I've assumed that...
