    HSC 2003 Q17b

    (a) for potential energy use e=-GM1M2/r (b) since they tell u that escape velovity is where the KE=PE then u use M1v^2/2 = -(-GM1M2/r) since KE is equal but opposite in direction a gain in KE is a loss in PE Then manipulate the eqn to get escape velocity= sqr root of 2GM2/r now that u noe...

    E= mc^2 question

    The only thing that seems wrong in the mathematical process is we are taking 10g as the rest mass. But if u consider the rest mass as 2.5kg and the rest energy as 2.5kg*c^2=rest Energy and the change in mass in 10g so the new energy of the new mass is given by E=(2.5-0.01)kg*c^2 there fore the...

    G force question

    i did this question from dt point. since g at a point is give by {g=GM/r^2) and an object is btn mars and jupiters its g is close to zero but g forces are a ratio of apparent weight/ real weight thus g+a/9.8= 26.95+0/9.8

    Neutron scattering - don't understand

    This whereby neutrons are used to study the structure of an atom because they have no charge and have a relatively similar mass to the protons. They are also more effective as they have a debroglies wavelength that is comparable to atomic spaces in crystal structure and they can travel slowly...

    Bohr's postulates and the development of a mathematical model

    Its a describe dotpoint so its mainly providing characteristics of Bohrs postulates and relate them to the develpment of the mathematical model. e.g. Bohrs postulates: (1) Electrons can only orbit in specific stationery states. This contributed to the balmer eqn which could explain the...

    Who's failing the external Maths Ext 2 exam?

    Re: 回复: Who's failing the external Maths Ext 2 exam? My technique has been do qsn 1-6 as quickly as possible. roughly 2 hrs then i have alot of time to think for the last 2. Qsn 7 and 8 are the hardest in most hsc papers and so if u get them right who knows where ua mark might shoot up to.

    Can someone please explain this solution

    Yep u r rite. Its to make k either divisible by 3 or not divisinbe by three. siince we already noe that w^3=1 and 1+w+w^2=0 finding solutions of 1+w^k+w^2k is made possible by making the either divisble or not divisble by 3.

    Rambo situation

    If u analyse the context in which he says it is when Marty says, "we beleive he is a war veteran" you are very right to saying that it makes the news more melodramatic but also captures the viewer attention. This leads to the audiences speculating and connecting emotionally to the kids in the...

    am also using an image for my 2nd related material. I think if u avoid sounding repetitive and shallow in ua analysis then it shouldnt be a problem. i have a back up just in case the image is a bad idea.

    Gwen Harwood - The Violets (psuedonyms)

    Feminist Reading is quite relevant. The reference/implications of a patriachal society and the mother being a comforter{relating this to the Glass Jar}.
