What should I do to get an ATAR of 99.95?

Unless you're pursuing law or med, any atar above 95 is enough to get into any degree (considering if you took your subjects based off of selection points)

What should I do to get an ATAR of 99.95?

Pick high scaling subjects: 4u maths, sciences, etc Be tutored (resources, question banks, etc) (unfortunately, nsw school system and the tutoring system are mutually beneficial to each other so if you find a good tutoring place, the advantage you have is crazy) Finish content few terms before...

Pretty sure there's binomial stuff in mx1 which uses combs, you shouldn't need it for mx2 unless nesa cooks up a crazy q16

Just some pointers on what you've listed, Kepler's law can be derived from equating uniform circular motion and universal gravitation and moving all the variables to one side and the constants to the other side Reason: when something orbits something else, we assume uniform circular orbit and...

Advice for selecting year 12 subjects

yea, science extension is a subject you only really pick if you have a really good project in mind and you're passionate about it, otherwise it's just not worth it If you want to go into science, picking up ext 2 maths will really help you out in 1st year, if you can't, then ext 1 is enough

Use variables in your calculations, plug numbers in at the end, answer with the same amount of sig figs as the question or 2 decimal places if unspecified

i have a question about getting to know people at uni

If you go unsw, first point isn't as strong since the flexibility in degree planning makes it so that unless you plan it with people you've met, you probably won't see them again 😔 But ofc, it looks like this becomes less so since as you progress to higher years, you'll be able to consistently...

Is the trimester here that bad?

I personally don't have any experience with other universities but you hear anecdotes all the time. Some I've heard: Finals at uts are a joke since there are so many people that just gpt since it's all online Usyd neglects their engineering faculty; you can head there and see their labs for...

Don't track time, track progress Divide the number of past papers you need to do by the number of days before the hsc After fulfilling that daily quota, you can spend your time doing other things

    Apple or microsoft?

No, idk about other unis but unsw gives you office 365 for free for the length of your degree

    Apple or microsoft?

tbh, I wouldn't depend on citrix or any uni-provided emulators too much, just run everything locally since when it comes to exam season, everyone will be on these platforms and you won't be able to run anything smoothly, if not, at all You also get the added benefit of working on assignments...

    Apple or microsoft?

If you want to do computer science in uni, go apple. If you want to do engineering, go microsoft/windows Any other degree, it doesn't matter but generally, macbooks last longer than windows from what I've heard

Is the trimester here that bad?

Ofc people on reddit have a very bad mental state  I recommend taking opinions from there with a large grain of salt, or better yet, taking no opinions But aside from that, what can you really do? Not trying to glaze but unsw's engineering faculty is leagues ahead of every other uni So if...
