    Hi! The Nylex stuff looks pretty much the same as the other thin contact does. I don't have the actual label any more, but I remember it had sort of black/green/yellow colours on it, and the full name is something like 'Nylex Cover-It Premium Self-Adhesive Film'. I've bought it from Bankstown...

    Being shortsighted....how worse can it get??

    Yeah, the optometrist said his lenses were pretty enormous. And apparently he has those rimless frames too...that must look rather interesting. these are what mine look like from above:

    Post Your Timetable - S2 2009 Edition

    Ooh, another boser doing BIOS1101 lectures in those particular timeslots. :) this semester every wednesday I have to run from clancy to the squarehouse (next to the roundhouse) from a lecture to a tute. However thankfully it's all downhill...uphill would be pretty crap I admit... (will post...

    Being shortsighted....how worse can it get??

    same. found out today my prescription is something like -3.25 right eye, -6.00 (perhaps worse, all I heard was the '6') left eye. It's really annoying having both eyes so different from each other because it means I need my glasses for reading/closeup too (depite being short-sighted, ie being...

    The myUNSW hate thread.

    ME TOO!!:spzz: Let's commiserate about the appalling state of the UNSW enrolment system together. (For a minute I thought the sudafed had worked and everything. :( )

    The myUNSW hate thread.

    They should give us the option of a) enrolling online or b) enrolling manually (like actually going to a specific place on campus and enrolling there, or something. Like other unis.) Both options available from the same day and same time for each faculty. or maybe they should just upgrade...

    :( stuff like this is making me slightly nervous (I enrol tomorrow). I'll be so annoyed if all the tutes/labs I've picked fill up before I can enrol in them. btw, does anyone know what the uniwide strength is like in the materials sciences building?

    environment--->changes within a species??

    This is true. Plus, just quietly...Wikipedia can be incredibly helpful for things like this... ;) At least as a starting point, if nothing else.

    you are at uni and where?

    Library, level...wait for it...NINE! :jaw: How adventurous of me. still prefer level 10 though.

    What you hate about UNSW

    OK, now seriously - how many bloody firedrills do they need in this place? do fires really occur with such frequency that they need fire drills so often? :mad1:

    environment--->changes within a species??

    Unfortunately I'm not really an expert on Australian wildlife (well not yet anyway. Maybe when I finish my degree though, hehe.) I can actually think of quite a few other adaptations the kangaroo has for Australia's climate, but they'd all be related to the 'physical changes' bit, not the other...

    environment--->changes within a species??

    Wow, they like to make it difficult, don't they? :rolleyes: I'm really not sure of any examples that could be used for all three, sorry. I just tried flicking through the chapter in my uni biology textbook (which is absolutely massive :p) on Australia's changing environment, but I couldn't...

    environment--->changes within a species??

    This is taken directly from my old 'Dot Point HSC Biology' book, ie not my own words, but I think it might help :) Physical: Physical conditions in Australia have changed over the past 25 million years, with increasing temperatures and decreasing rainfall. This has led to a change in plant...

    general UNSW chit-chat

    But then I'd have to pick another elective subject offered in second semester...which sort of puts me in the same position as whoever it was (here on bos) who had electives to pick and no idea what to choose. all the subjects that sound remotely interesting to me are in semester 1. plus, after...

    when can you check your WAM?

    Just curious, is a WAM of 75 needed for any transfer between courses, or just the one you want to get into in particular? (I was thinking of transferring too from 'B Science' to 'B Science (Communications)' which is why I'm asking.)

    Does anyone know how to fix the bent front cover of a book?

    You could try covering the book with clear adhesive contact. but not that crappy thin Duraseal stuff that refuses to lie smooth resulting in those horrible bubbles; get the thicker decorator's contact, I got some from Big W and I think it's called 'nylex' or something. this has worked for all...
