It's via the long road (forget the name), but the bus will most definitely take you there. Now there is also a prohibited entrance on high street (but its blocked off and you are not allowed to go pass there). Would be nice though instead of walking all the way around.

During the exam block all bus drivers are instructed to take students to the racecourse then Uni (from memory). (Please make sure your exam is actually at the race course though - some exams are done on campus) It's not that long of a walk to the race course though from Uni (30 mins)
