eh, the difficulty was exaggereated by the papers, It might have been harder than usual with questions that might not have been standard in 3u
but if its harder like than and everyone does shit, then scaling its ok,scaling will save you there
Theres probably more to this, but fuck your school.
If your doing crappy in some subs or doing ok and wanna change, try to.
If your teachers/school say no take it up with your parent and if that doesn't work cal the BOS
Its seriously not hard if you decent and maths and can keep up with the work. Besides 2 unit is a breeze until you get to integration
which comes pretty easy with practice anyway.
The key to ext 1 is practice and consistency. But some exams can get pretty hard out of nowhere
Not ready to go back to school yet,
i have all my books and stuff but I dont feel ready.
Plus im going to boarding school this year, a tad bit shit.
Year 11 doesn't count anyway so I won't be breaking my back this year.
Class of 2013 have a good one!
as for the raw marks query,
above it was stated that in MX2 90-100/120 translates to 95 exam so lets assume 96/120 raw becomes 95 exam
so 96/120 = 0.8 = 80/100
therefore we can assume a raw mark of 80/100 in the new format will be about 95 aligned. (trusting given data was correct and there...
my schools acheivement goes up and down every year.
this years dux got 99.55 and there were like 20 kids who got 95+
last years dux got 99.85 and there were like 35 kids who got 95+
as for my school, thats my secret
so with that R and D degree you go to conferences and shit, cool. ANu is the only uni to my knowledge that sort of downgrades degrees if you dont do well in them. Also my cousin just finished adv science in Physics at anu and it trying to go to stanford, are there many at anu who want to go...
yeh if you can try to do the Sat's this year so you dont have to worry about them when your in yr 12.
Oh and so you know, England is also an option.
YOu could go for a rhode scholarship. ALmost as impossilbe to get into as harvard med but more accessable.
You only need an 1 undergrad degree...
harvard med is pretty fucking expensive (like 200k for a degree) if you really want to, not just cause it has a 'reputation' that
u have absorbed by watching AMerican tv shows. Imo going to harvard med wont make you a better doctor, you'd get the same education at Usyd or ANu.
But thats just me...
Id say all of them, thats what they're for. go into a book store and have a look at books people have recommened, Look at an important concept (differentiation for example) whichever has the explanation that you like most go with that one but thats all up to you.
FOr maths id recommend...
