Yeah I'm going for my P's in a couple of months so it should be good [IMG]. I'm probably looking at doing some kind of arts degree as well at USyd. International studies sounds good but I don't know about human resource management...sounds a bit monotonous. Anyway, good luck with your exams [IMG].

    Tomboys

Actually I'm being genuine. I bet Shannyn Sossamon still looks pretty good without makeup.

Yeah I feel much the same - I go through a career every month or so. I've thought about doing something science-related as well but I don't know; it seems quite boring + frustrating at times. I'm planning on taking a GAP year myself, probably to Japan but Europe would definitely be my...

Yeah, exams are all pretty much = [IMG]. Though I absolutely love the "chill" time afterward xD. I'm doing alright, just excited and a little anxious by the fact that school is over in about 5 months but it should be good. What are you studying at uni?

socail cultural and historical contexts of blade runner and frankenstein

I don't know if it's been mentioned already but the essential societal milieu of Frankenstein revolves around the Romantic movement and its fascination with the sublimity of nature, being overcome by the strict rationality of the Age of Enlightenment. Basically, Romantics were all about living...

Yeah I was the same with my Extension Two Major Work but I think your topic is absolutely fascinating to be honest. While it seems somewhat esoteric, the implications for religious dogma and institutionalized belief structures of the Witch Trails are really intriguing I reckon. Ancient is one...

Yeah, I don't really speak the language either but I figure I can just wing it if I nod every few seconds or so and learn how to say "My Japanese is ______ [IMG]." I guess I'm doing alright atm. A little amused (and anxious) about the fact that school life is almost over. On top of that, there...

    ATAR estimate please???

+1 Its pointless trying to give you estimate without class and school rankings. Percentages are relative and not universal.

    Half Yearly Reports

    Yeah same here. My grade has about 30 students atm :D. Anyway, my ranks were: Ad. Eng - 1/10 Ext 1. Eng - 1/2 Ext 2. Eng - 1/2 Ancient History - 1/4 Biology - 1/4 Chemistry - 1/5 Mathematics - 1/6

Yeah I understand what you're staying. But I think a part of me wanted to drop Ext. Maths just so I could do Extension Two English XD. A large part of philosophy is just daydreaming but then I write some of it down, someone reads and likes it = epic score - that's what I'm hoping for with my...

Yeah Extension Two English is pretty time-consuming as well but mostly just in small bursts, so its still manageable. Most of our Ext 2 lessons are during lunch-time because, as the course involves a major work rather than a written exam, our teacher mainly just supervises us and provides us...

    ATAR Estimate

Definitely 95+ but even considering your excellent school rank, I doubt you're mark and rank in Physics + Chem correspond with the rest of your results. If you can improve in physics especially, then you have a reasonable chance of 98-99.

    Just another Atar estimate

I'd say about 95 atm. But lifting a bit in Ad. Eng and even Ext 1, will probably put you into the 97+ range.
  16. gesh17

    Chance of getting 85+?

I'd say an ATAR of 95 is definitely within reach, especially considering your excellent school rank and top 5 ranking in Ad. English. Best of luck. :)
  17. gesh17

    Sorry, Another Atar Guess.

80 is probably the most plausible estimate atm. However, aside from PDHPE which does not scale as well as your other subjects, you mark percentages are not quite up to scratch. And if you want a higher ATAR, you've got to work hard and perform much better in Chemistry and Mathematics especially.

    Is Hamlet (the character) GAY?

Personally, I think it is a bit of a moot point. But if I had to comment, I'd probably say that he is neither interested in men or women; they become very much immaterial to him over the course of the play and are essentially overshadowed by more meaningful thematic concerns such as the mean...

    Decarbonating soda water

The aim of this experiment is to demonstrate that the carbonated unopened can will possess CO2 that escapes; thus reducing total mass while the water opened can experiences very little evaporation in the time provided. Thus, conclusion something along the lines of: A carbonated drink...
