Need valid evidence :) to prove to my teacher

Actually, schools/the marking boards don't consider Excel to be a valid source of information (heard this from one of my teachers who was a HSC marker). This is why it's better to stick to the textbooks (them being Jacaranda, etc.) and only use information from such.

    Simple Bladerunner question...

I think there were no healthy people. The movie is set in LA on Earth. The "off-world colony" is to just get away from the dystopic place that you see on Earth.

    Uni Break

Depends on the university and your exam timetable. Most uni exams are during June, and then there's the one month break during July (for UNSW, probably similar for other unis too)

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive Decent response :). I wouldn't give it 3 marks though, maybe 2. The key things i was looking out for were: - low gas pressure allowing electrons to accelerate gaining KE (1 mark) - collisions with air molecules transferring sufficient energy to them near the...

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive I think this thread is deviating a bit. To answer these questions, one has to know what a black hole is, which isn't taught in the HSC and isn't fair to those who want to participate but haven't got a clue what you guys are talking about or where to begin...

    Germs and bombs

    i) Selecting 3 humans first, so 8C3. Arranging that table by multiplying by 2! so we now have 8C3 * 2! We are left with 5 humans for the other table. Arranging that table by multiplying by 4! so we now have 8C3*2!*4! which should be our answer. ii) P(particular couple on different table) = 1 -...

    Basic calculations- forgot :(

Since BaNO3 is added in excess, all the sulfate ions have combined with Ba2+ ions to form BaSO4. Find the number of moles of BaSO4. Now, n(BaSO4):n(SO4 2-) = 1:1 so now you know the number of moles of SO4 2-. [SO4 2-] = n(SO4 2-)/V = n(SO4 2-)/(0.2) to get your answer.

    ATAR Estimate

You oversimplify how they moderate the internal marks. The only way internal marks matter is how close they are to everyone else as this affects moderation. Say you're rank 2nd with an internal mark of 80, whereas the person coming 1st has an internal mark of 100. The moderation process will...
