    Umat day!!!!

These comments pretty much epitomise my thoughts on the test. It seemed much, much harder than the practice tests, and I doubt nerves/stress had anything to do with it because I'm not even thinking of doing med next year, I just did UMAT just incase/for experience. Section 1 was meh, some...

Is taking three sciences too much? Pointer please

I did the 3 sciences in Year 11 and I'd say that with average effort it is possible. I discovered that Physics wasn't for me so I dropped it in HSC year. It is better to try it out and discover you don't want to do it, than not try it out and discover you do want to do it, if you get my meaning.

    UMAT Admission ticket!!

On the ticket it says "Arrival Time", not "Test Time", therefore, 8am means you arrive AT 8AM and do the test soon after.

    ANU VS UNSW VS USyD

Extra-curricular activity is only important if you are applying for Harvard. For Oxbridge, a simple read of their websites tells you that they really don't give a crap about that stuff, they just want you to be really awesome at your subject area (very high marks, esp. in honours) and passionate.

    Study/homework timetable

There are literally thousands of FREE resources on the internet that can assist you with creating a study timetable. I'm not sure why it's so hard for people to utilise google. But anyway. Here is a good website that can help you get started. Look around the website, it has some really useful...

    HELP! Uni entry!

OP, google is your friend. Why not be a little more proactive and google what you want to know before posting here? Or even better, contact the university itself, they might be able to give you more insight into what you should do.

    Tafe/university?!!?

This. Although I should point out that I am considering medicine and TAFE is actually enabling me by getting me into uni in the first place.

    More Class, The Better?!?!?!

Okay so next semester I have a really awesome timetable which only entails 16 hours p/w; each of my 'periods' are 2 hours long. Sometimes this is a little long, esp. if I didn't eat enough brekky before hand, but otherwise it works well for me :) This semester was a little different in that...

    Juicystar's Never-Ending Depression

Are you really trying your best? Are you putting in the effort? Are you going and getting help from your teachers when you need it? Are you on here moping around when you could be studying? More importantly: you have to modify your attitude. Attitude is everything. You could have the mind of a...

    Cracking knuckles?

I despise the habit, it irks me. On another note, I don't even know how to crack my knuckles. It's happened to me but only accidentally. *shudders*

Which library do you study at?

I'm the same! I have only gone to the library when I needed books for research. I know this sounds weird but I find libraries noisy? I prefer the quiet home study I've set up.

    Motivate meee d:

Here's something inspirational: If you keep this work ethic up, you're not going to survive first year uni, let alone anything that is worth doing.
