UNSW → A guide to transferring internally to law

From memory there are about 350-375 first year students. 250 coming straight from Year 12 and 100 internal transfers. I think there are are about 15-25 external transfers. However the numbers apparently drop to about 200-250 by final year. People eventually realise law is not for them so they...

Is going to any uni besides UNSW or USYD worth it for Law?

Macquarie's Law School is quite respectable so don't count it out!

    EAS bonus points

Yes there are quite a few. I have heard people getting into UNSW Law with an ATAR as low as 97.20 when the cut off was 99.65.

    Dilemma!! Which course to choose

You can always accept an offer in an earlier round. If you then receive a different offer in another round, you can decline your first offer. Re: Commerce (Liberal Studies) - Unfortunately the cut off for this course has always been around 98. It is quite a popular course. So I am sorry to...

UNSW → A guide to transferring internally to law

Yes our Dean mentioned this. If you having been doing well in university despite not a very high ATAR, he may still accept your application as he thinks you have potential. He is of the opinion that ATAR is an assessment at one point in time and should not decide everything. If anything I think...

    Can I get in?

If you have EAS and if you're eligible for any HSC Plus then yes. HSC Plus is automatically applied to your application if you are eligible so you don't need to fill out any forms or anything. Good luck!

Program structure, do I have to follow its order?

No you cannot do LAWS1052 and LAWS1061 at the same time. They are never offered in the same semester for UG students. Also LAWS1052 is a prerequisite to LAWS1061.

UNSW fines students for illegal downloads

Haha UNSW is enforcing it because someone sued UNSW for copyright infringement before :P (out of all the unis they had to choose UNSW :P)

May have fucked up my fins1613 finals

Oh I hope so. Some of my students were sad after the finals. Although 1-3 were very happy. Fingers crossed they all get a mark they are happy with.

May have fucked up my fins1613 finals

I taught PASS both Semester 1 and Semester 2 this year. As for becoming a tutor? Not sure yet. Dont think ASB wants me HAHA. Although... some of my students have asked if I was teaching 2624 or at least take PASS for 2624 (doesn't exist).

May have fucked up my fins1613 finals

As a PASS Leader, I found that FINS1613 has been watered down a lot since I did it. They took out a lot of content which used to be in the course. When I was teaching the stuff people were giving me blank stares o.O. Then I realise it's no longer in the course :P

    not doing my final exams

I recommend not lying to potential employers when applying for jobs. It is ground for firing someone. Also employers have permission to contact education institution to ask for your details. Whether your uni provide those details is a different question :P

UNSW JD STUDY PLAN over Summer

Ah ok that should be fine. As far as I am aware generally no. JD courses are offered both semesters. I guess maybe just class choices? There are less mid year entry and so they may only offer 2 different class times per course instead of say 5.

UNSW JD STUDY PLAN over Summer

Equity is a prerequisite for a lot of core courses e.g. Business Associations, Land law and other electives too. You might have a problem if you are leaving Equity & Trusts till the 2nd summer to do it instead of doing it in say Semester 1 of 2nd year.

Post Your 2015 Sem 1 Timetable

Sorry for the late reply. The reason you do not log in before your enrolment is because myUNSW will keep you logged in without the update enrolment function. The update enrolment function opens exactly on your enrolment appointment time. If you login prior to this the browser will not be updated

Choosing Law courses for 2015 sem 1

They are graded about the same. Ethics is a bit easier than Admin :P For Admin, Greg Weeks teaches the content better than Richard Travers but Richard Travers' class tend to get higher marks :P
