Re: High School Jerseys Forgive me for not getting with the new-age lingo, but what is 'trolled'? Is that an in-joke for BA students?

    Compulsory attendance ??

Very good point... I have had a lecturer that uses the same ethos, luckily for me I kept my nose clean too. Although you may not be marked on attendance at lectures it does sometimes pay to attend them, after all you can't expect a lecturer to issue advice when you aren't bothered to listen to...

    uni questions! please help!

Your token attempt at 'humor' is noted. I'll hazard a guess that you were/are schooled in America, if not you are influenced FAR too much by American TV ("mom" etc). Might want to brush up on your English before you hit the 'big league'! Chin up!!!

    Question About TAFE

I am sure that the STAT Test requires you to be 21 years of age or over, so if you don't fall into this category you may need to either sit your HSC subjects again, or go to TAFE in order to gain entry to Uni. You may be able to sit a foundation course for entry to Uni, which I think is either 6...

Possible to study at 2 universities simultaneously ?

Barmitfas and weddings would probably be allowed under a 'religious discrimination' loophole, something that should obviously be talked through with your university WELL IN ADVANCE of the date. They advise that if you cannot attend the exam you should inform them at the earliest possible date...

    Uni Questions

Re: use mobile phone at uni? University is not like high school, you have a lot more freedom and are treated like adults, after all you will be studying with many adults. Obvioulsly etiquet is advised when it comes to mobile phones, use them as if you would in a cinema (keep them on silent...

    Uni Questions

Re: High School Jerseys I would have thought that the High School phase of your life was over, you are now entering a new chapter of your life. There's obviously no law to say you can't wear your High School jumper, but it does seem a little odd given that you are starting university. Each...

Possible to study at 2 universities simultaneously ?

I hope you are wrong... I suppose that is at the discretion of the University, but I know of one friend who went overseas for 'a wedding', when in fact he timed his holidays during exams, needless to say they allowed him to defer his exams until he came back in the new year. I think they will be...

whats a good area of study with 97.5

Make her do a BA (majoring in cooking)!:), Only kidding girls... Don't throw the book at me just yet... I suppose the non-sexist, new-age response should be that she should do what she feels she wants to do! She may seek your advice, but at the end of the day it is her who will have to make the...

Possible to study at 2 universities simultaneously ?

Studying at two different Unis is possible, but not always practicle! I am doing my double degree at one Uni, and my other degree next door! Of course this helps an awful lot, but if it is do-able and the other institution has a good reputation then go for it!

    Timetables

My advice is to plan your timetable early and concisely!!! As someone who is doing seven subjects this semester and eight in the second semester I cannot emphasise this enough! Of course it involves a bit (or in my case a lot) of programming luck. For example, I have somehow been able to get...

    I am "DEAD!" ARGHH

Some sound advice on here, but equally some harsh words written. I do agree that the fellow has had 'oodles' of time to choose whether or not to go to Uni, but it's not always as cut and dry as that. The best option, in hindsight, would have been to apply for uni straight away- just because you...

    Best uni for studying Law?

I haven't heard University of Adelaide mentioned amoungst all of this, TER for entry to Law at Adelaide is 95, so entry isn't exactly easy! Australia's third oldest Law School (behind Sydney and Melbourne), and (correct me if I'm wrong) but, given that Sydney and Melbourne no longer offer Law to...
