Two trolleys, just over $850, receipt would have had to have been at least 1m long.

It's part of the new Customer First (i.e. Mystery shopper) benchmarks, we also apparently have to ask "where your bags packed well today?" I don't do it. It's usually obvious if a customer has their bags with them. It's only two parts of the mystery shop anyway.

I would be so pissed off if that happened to me. It's not my fault you over-rostered. I really do think there needs to be more protection for casual workers regarding this kind of thing.

    I love school holidays, so many opportunities for extra hours. My original roster this week was: Wed: 15:15 - 19:15 Thur: 16:00 - 20:00 Sat: 07:30 - 12:30 I've ended up working so far: Mon: 9:00 - 13:00 Wed: 11:45 - 20:00 Thur: 11:00 - 19:15 Fri: 18:15 - 21:15 So far, an extra 13.5 hours and...

According to the NSW award when working more than 5 hours the employee is entitled to a paid rest pause of 10 minutes and an unpaid meal break of between 30-60 minutes duration. So you're payslip is 3.5+2 = 5.5 hours which is a 6 hour shift minus the half-hour unpaid meal break. Do you clock...

The CSM once gave me her numbers over the internal phone when I asked for a suspended sale. I've only ever used them once and that was to reprint a receipt when it was way to busy to get a supervisor down to do it for me. I figure if it's ok for her to do it then she's not going to sack me.

It would feel so odd working with my CSM as an operator. I'd feel like I was being watched.

All stores had their barriers and security signage removed, it wasn't for self-serve. Now we have people who think they can try and walk out of the store with a TV because there's nothing (phyiscially) to stop them

    Rules for Customers

Oh Neat, I guess you wouldn't see many of them these days. We probably get about four cheques a month, but we don't need a card we just get the details from the MICR on the cheque and the customer writes his/her contact details on the back

Don't worry, they may have a pretty store but they have no meaning of the word 'express'. There were about 7 people in the express queue and ONE checkout open. The supervisor did open a second one only when his friends joined the queue. Although I guess that is a benefit that comes with having...

Yeah, apparently they're trying them, I know in the melbourne area at least and some sydney stores. I'm not sure if my store will get them, we have a low number of basket shoppers plus there's not really a good spot for them to go. They could get rid of two express checkouts and a put a few...

I always thought that store looked extra pretty. But I guess it does mega-sales because it's one store in a fairly large catchment area whereas in Launceston and Hobart you have more stores in a similar (if not smaller) sized area.

I went into like the smallest Coles ever yesterday, it's the Wellington St one in launceston, tas - they have three express registers and four regular registers and a little service desk attached to the wall.
