I'm contracted for 10 hours a week, but pretty much do like 22 hours, I've saved up 80 hours of annual leave. I don't know whether its policy or not, but unless that part in the agreement factors... The Clause that states they can't suddenly reduce your rostered hours to your base contract if...

I was just shopping at the Robina Town Centre, OMFG two stores in the same centre. Also I saw the new pin pads. Looked cool. But didn't use them :( paid cash.

Joy. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :D hope it's awesome for you. God I fucking hate it when there are too many supervisors. We never have a shortage of them seriously, and it's getting on my nerves. All the supervisors were rostered on as operators (including me) the other day, and I was the only one on a...

Sounds like a load of bullshit. That would definately have to violate the EBA somewhere. I don't think that "escorted out" crap will happen at my store, our managers are too nice to do that. They wouldn't even talk to people like that "if you don't like it, there's the door". That's rather...

Ha! Hilarious night. We get this massive hailstorm (for the first time in 4 months) that lasted for half an hour, and right at the end of it, one of the Nightfillers came inside and informed the CSM that his car window was half open. Completely saturated the whole driver's seat. Anyone know...

I've only ever had one person use their EDR on their phone, it came up with the barcode, and I was there trying to scan it but ended up typing the number. My store is out in a community where people use technology as little as possible. And how are you supposed to do it? Do you just write the...

At NNS7: ahh yea, that's a good idea. I'll bring it up with the CSM tonight. I also noticed that express bag racks fit on the mains, so I'll pinch one of them and see how tht goes. Bahahaha smoooooth. I was going through the cupboard last night and found a "clip-clap machine" for manually...

Haha derp. I notice people where complaining on the Facebook page, back last week when we had the 15c a litre off... someone thought they'd put the price up by 15c. Ha, yeah, right. Hmmm... yeah, I'll casually just ask about it, and hopefully they will understand. There shouldn't be an issue...

...and what exactly is illegal? The single cigarettes? :) Also I have another question. Lately I've been rostered for lots of checkout shifts. I'm really tall, and the bag racks on the big checkouts don't go high enough, so I strain my back and neck a lot when I have to pack the bags, and it's...

How was everyone's experience with Sticky Specials? I didn't work today, but went shopping. I noticed the sticker "Save $3 on Coca-Cola cartons", which are now $18, and with the sticker, $15. They were on special for $15 last week. Whaaaat?

Goddamnit! Our's are black too :( I hate life. I haven't noticed any of the new packs yet, but we're going to have an enormous smoke-load soon, as we had a weekend event which cleared us out of all our popular smokes. I was also talked down to numerous times for our store not stocking Longbeach...

I presume the saving is shown at the end, it said in the team talk that all the specials are grouped together so the customers can see everything easier, instead of all spread out. I honestly think though that scanning the Sticky Special barcode after the product's barcode shouldn't matter...

Was that really the official name of that EDR program? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah I saw the team talk for that, and I'm already predicting the tyrade of dead beats who will stick it over the barcode and increase scanning difficulty. Well really, most of my customers are pretty good, it's just one or...

I did actually suggest doing that, scanning them before putting them out, but apparently no, that I was not allowed. Also, I told you people had reinstilled their faith in God. Woolies updated on their Facebook page this morning, one reply was "PRAISE THE LORD!" :D

Yea those rage comments shit me off as well. I don't even scan those magazines anymore. Too many people get confused and thinking they're being charged. I've luckily never had to deal with someone that crazy. I have had a lot of excited customers though, as though they believe in god again now...

Yes, obviously. That's why it's called the Woolworths thread. And why it contains Woolworths-related discussion. Yep, that srsly is the only reason I joined. (that may read sarcastic, but it's not) EDIT: @thewaytogo... what do you do at Woolies again? I've just had a memory blank and plain...

Ahhh okay. And by suprise, I meant the customers will get a nice suprise cause that they can use Credit on Debit cards (ahead of the upgrade on the 7th). I rebooted all the registers last night, and the operators said the option was appearing on the pinpads for customers, so it definately worked.

I went through and rebooted every single one of our registers tonight, so the customers are going to get a nice surprise tomorrow hopefully. IT can't get up me for that right? I also noticed that we didn't have a single EDR temporary card left when we had heaps last week. I guess they got sick...

They'll advertise them on the career's website. Some stores do post signs a few months before around the store. I applied at the start of November 2008, and had my induction by the end of the month. Is that store policy or company policy? I have been told that I've only been going to Saturdays...
