    Yes, you do lose your casual loading? On public holidays, your rate is based on the part time/full time rate in your age category (thats how it works here anwyay). So everyone is equal on public holidays afaik. I've calculated it and matches up with the SDA wage bulletin perfectly.

    TBH limiting items on express registers is impractical. It is a register like any other and limiting it to 15 items will cause so much shit. For example, a person could have 15 tiny items which may be little herbs from produce, and you get to the last item and it's already 15? The customer isnt...

    Because it's not 'toooo' big of a deal, just very annoying, and most of the time it's not worth arguing with them about it so I just serve them. If i'm pissed off, then no. it's not going to happen. BTW it could also been seen as 'refusing service', which is a BIG NO NO in our store...

    We have this one regular who always brings his basket to the front counter. Regardless of whether it's busy or completely dead, this is extremely annoying. I might start sendng people back if I am not in the mood from now on. But yes, so many god damn people do it!

    Nah he is talking about the maximum that should be in the draw. You should have no more then $1500 in your draw at any one time, ever. Also, in our store, when you do a pickup, you leave 2x $50 and 5x $20, so 100 and 100. We do not send up 10's or 5's.
