I initially stayed due to non-school and the existence of BoS meets. I'm still around today for the same reasons along with my ability to make a sustained and substantial contribution to the community.
I've been super busy lately, so i haven't even gotten the time to look into it. Though if it's possible (and i don't know if it is) i'll look into making it happen.
If someone else wants to take up the task, feel free.
Pretty much this. We're open to any user applying for the mod team. If they don't want to be a moderator, they can remain a user and still contribute to the site that way. There isn't really a need for separate ranks/usergroups.
Don't worry about doing it "correctly" at first. Learn through experience is my suggestion.
Just open by walking up to them and saying "Hey, my name is x" and do what feels natural from there. You'll eventually get the hang of it after a couple times and it'll become easy.

It's more about the emotions and meaning that the event conveys than the materialistic value that is attached to it.
I kind of just proposed it in a "hey, this would be sick if it actually happens" thing.
But fuck, i'll actually look into it if everyone is keen.
