haha funny to say, but my two friends from my school are coming first and second for SDD prelim out of like 100 students (from different schools as well) in their area.

yep, my sister's b/f's friend is a doctor and is also one of the judges/interviewers, and he says that it's about their character more than their academic marks. You can ace all subjects, exams, etc and be a super mean/selfish/proud person and get the marks for med, but what's the point? Doctors...

haha I don't feel comfotable with ext1 overall. I havn't done any homework nor study for it since term 1, and this is because of lack of motivation for ext1 due to it's difficulty.

Fact: When you study a topic in, say Biology, for around an hour, then in within 24 hours you do a 10-15 minute recap of what you studied, then you will remember 80% of that information for the rest of the week. And if you keep on recapping just 10-15 everyday for a few days then it will be...

Yeah, my year adviser 'advises' us to study in the holidays...and she gives us our much needed study guides for our subjects, a few days before our exams...

Haha my first maths ext 1 exam i got 18% and I came 2/5 and then for my half yearly i got 20% and i also came 2/5 again. Funny though, the marks got scaled up to the 65% range. And with my 2u exam, i got 58%, and it got scaled up to 78%. So scaling also occurs in preliminary exams too.

wow, we've only got 5 people in my maths ext class... probably will end up having 3 in the hsc year

Mmm well I go to an all boys school and i'm a peer support leader with a buddy, where we take care of a group of 7 boys. To be honest, it's not hard at all. My group is the 'non brightest' group (so harsh..) but they actually co-operate and interact real well.

around 100 in my grade, only about5who actually try at school...

awesome, sounds good kulazzi. yeah i don't necessarily hate those try to be moddest of their top results, but i get annoyed of those who boast. Those who get top marks and choose to help others are the coolest. :)

Don't worry. Reports aren't the base of your life. Even if you somehow end up getitng a bad report, don't worry, atleast your parents will know that you tried. Wow. Is it just me... or has term 2 gone really quick? It's already week 8 now.
