i feel the same way. i just write too damn neatly under exam conditions and as a result i can only squeeze 3 pgs in 35 mins.

ye i disagree as well. hsc essays r meant to be very formulaic and the markers would expect it to be dull and by the book. screw the flair bit - thats for creative writing. these hsc essays r meant to be a personal response as well, so using a famous philosopher's quote will NOT help ur cause.
