    Psych

Oh yes, vUWS discussion boards rock! They can really be helpful in answering whatever questions you have and it's nice to think that there's other students in the same boat too. Occasionally some funny things happen too, like little fights and that haha. I'm entertained too easily when trying...

    Exam timetables

OMG I've heard awful things about that subject. Good luck :). I've never had a Sat exam before, was lucky to have avoided them until now...

    Learning Through Community Service

I looked at doing this last year but the project I wanted didn't run. I tried posting here for advice, but no one has done it. Have you tried shooting an email to the unit coordinator for advice? Is there an info night running for the subject? It may be pretty intense if you try to do it...

    Parramatta or Cambelltown?

I've seen both campuses, but I've only ever studied at Parra at night. On face value, Campbelltown is prettier and has a nice bar. Parramatta is BUSY but it has Subway. Depending on your course, more units and subjects will be offered at one campus versus the other, or have better timetabling.

    Psych

Is this Human Behaviour? Your question is radically different to mine back in '08...mine was a Social Psych question about ingroup homogeneity. Anyway, let's have a look at the question: "critically evaluate the suggestion that from standard intellectual and cognitive assessments may not...

    Rules for Customers

Yeah was pretty yuck. Blue skin? How? YES!!! Even worse are those who insist on browsing after the shutters are down and the till is starting to get counted...take a freaking hint, I'm not getting paid to stay back so stop messing around my clean displays and move along please :)

50 credit points in one semester?

Is it Learning Through Community Service that you're applying for? There's not many other 20 credit point subjects out there. I would think that you'd need to fill out a rule waiver to have the 50 credit points. Learning Through Community Service | University of Western Sydney (UWS)

    Changing my major

You could try transferring mid year, that way you can do an education major subject next semester. Even if you don't transfer midyear, you can always do an education major subject as an elective, that's what one of my mates did before she transferred across. Best to speak to student...

    Changing my major

Provided you pass your first year core art units, you will not need to retake them as they are common to both the Arts and Arts (Pathways to Teaching) degrees. When you transfer, you should apply for advanced standing in these. In the Pathways to Teaching, the education major is in addition...

    Rules for Customers

Don't abuse me because you cannot follow directions on your receipt. Don't expect me to go out of my way to help you when you swear, throw things and scream at me to the point where I have to call security. And worst of all, don't call me racist JUST because you're asian and I'm white. I...

    Underbelly- The Golden Mile

Just watched a clip on Channel 9's website which said that some of the street scenes are filmed in Lane Cove. I enjoyed the season premiere. I've never been interested in Underbelly before so I can't compare it to previous seasons, but I am looking forward to more.

    UWS really isn't that bad.

Whether they get in is one thing, if they stay is another :P. I remember reading in the SMH a few years back about the dropout rates between uni's. UWS may have had the largest student population by far, but it also had an unusually high dropout rate for that population. Imagine the amount of...

    UWS really isn't that bad.

Judging purely on psych, maybe UNSW but not USyd. I live an hour away from my campus as it is, travelling to Kensington would have been hell on earth. ETA: I received offers to both Mac and UWS for BA.

    UWS really isn't that bad.

I totally agree with you. I just wish that the people who have berated me for choosing UWS saw it that way, but such is life. At the end of the day I have good marks and am being proactive in trying to find appropriate internships/work experience. I know many people who have done well...

    UWS really isn't that bad.

Yes, USyd has its strengths. And the buildings are beautiful, not that it should be a deciding factor. (If anyone sees EA at night, it's pretty too, right guyz??) But UWS has its strengths too. I think this thread is a reaction to the general consensus that UWS has no good qualities...
