    business elective

Depends on what kind of subjects you consider as an increase-GPA subject.. I thought Marketing would be- but it decreased by GPA (as I quickly found out that it wasn't my kind of subject- different to other people though). Are you good at IT? Something like Introduction to Information Systems...

    2008 UTS Careers Fair

They will probably be more than happy to answer any questions you may have now e.g. like any vacationer programs they may have (which we can do in summer). I noticed from the Chartered Accountants Vacation Employment Evening last year that there were lots of HR managers, so they would be...

UTS Semester 1: 2008 Buying & Selling Books Thread

We just used it for a couple of homework exercises (more in Accounting 2 than Accounting 1). Rest of the time it sits at home and gathers dust. You can access the Qantas Annual Reports online though (http://www.qantas.com.au/info/about/investors/annualReports). Edit: The 2006 is the one...

    General UTS chit-chat

Re: The UTS 'Secks and omg back to uni noooo!' Thread This was the sample I got when I did Economics in Spring, 2006. The actual final exam was pretty similar in terms of structure and question style. I found it useful. Your subject coordinator should give you a sample too (if not demand it...

    General UTS chit-chat

Re: The UTS 'Secks and omg back to uni noooo!' Thread Economics was really boring for me too- I fell asleep a couple of times (not as much as I did in BLEthics though). I did Economics in Year 12, so there wasn't alot of new things I had to learn (other than those micro calculations!). I...

    Development of Kuringai Campus

I have no idea what Building T used to be used for- but I know it was really ugly though! (even worse than Building 1). The housing development plans are being rejected by the community, and there is also a fight between local and state council planning regulations. Nothing has been...

    General UTS chit-chat

Re: The UTS 'Secks and omg back to uni noooo!' Thread Some of them were pretty easy, and some really annoyed me. So they are a mix of straight out and trick questions lol. They way they did it in my semester was that if you scored well (top 50%), you would be allocated to an...

    Development of Kuringai Campus

Hmm.. They were demolishing that ugly building named "Building T". Not sure about joining up Bld 4 and Bld 2... Oh here: "In line with the University Campus Development Plan, Building T (the eye-sore on Jones St opposite Building 10) will be demolished over the Summer break, to minimise...

UTS Semester 1: 2008 Buying & Selling Books Thread

The online stuff for that was useless. I never touched it lol (it still has the seal). The Study CD is more useful- has alot of practice questions and summary stuff that is I found pretty good.

    2008 UTS Careers Fair

It would probably be more useful for final year students- all they would be talking about is their graduate programs.. (which is 1 year too early for you and me Dane). I'm planning to go to the ICAA Vacation Employment Evening this year...

Re: The UTS 'Secks and omg back to uni noooo!' Thread Nah.. do an IT subject- you'll have classes in Building 10, get access to the better computers, and may even get free printing =o Wonder if you still have to do multiple choice questions online every week for Economics.. (MyAtlas lol...)

There are some proposed housing plans floating somewhere, none of which has been confirmed yet. After 2009, UTS will process all KG students to the City I believe.

    Computers @ UTS

I have PortableApps (http://portableapps.com/apps) on my USB which has Pidgin, which is an opensource messenger program. Otherwise.. web messenger works perfectly fine on ITS computers. On Building 10 computers (for IT students), MSN hasn't been blocked- and you can access it via Program...
