    Accounting Cadetships 2009

Gibbo, next time the recruitment team from a company do that, just tell you can't talk with them at the moment and ask them to call back in 30 minutes so you can relocate to an environment that you can give them your full attention. There's absolutely no issue with doing this. Doctor Jolly: I...

Credit/Distinction average in B. Commerce? Job opportunities?

Or you can also take the B.Com into the construction industry and earn $65k first year out. A lot less competition, a lot more secure. Different stroke for different folks. There are many, many career opportunities available to you with a base of a B.Com. It just depends where your interest...

2009 official "funny quirks of my day" thread

I'm making it interesting, man! C'mon, fight me! Actually, there's a couple of other threads that pop up, but other than that it's tumbleweed time. Have you seen the UUNF Unofficial University of Newcastle Forum? It's kind of on the same level. Must be Newcastle? :/

2009 official "funny quirks of my day" thread

Where's the sense in that? 1. It's a thread with little activity as is. 2. The thread title obviously indicates it's a more 'social' thread. 3. There's no real topic here other than 'quirks'. 4. I don't believe the 3rd point justifies deletion. I can't see deletion making that much...

    Lectopia

Lectopia is pretty darn good hey. You can listen to just the audio, or have the audio and powerpoint being run together. I don't know whether it is definitely used in all lecture theatres, but I know there's capabilities for it in CT202, GP1-1/GP2-1, Griffith Duncan and the McMullin Theatre...

    Accounting Cadetships 2009

The year 7 comment was more to illustrate a point. If there are significant events/awards/skills that you obtained 5 years ago and you can communicate them succinctly, then there's no issue. The older you get (hence the more work experience/extra currics you get), the more lenient recruiters...

    Accounting Cadetships 2009

Cover Letter = 1 page. Should take them about 30 - 45 seconds to read. CV = 2 - 3 pages. Short, concise and relevant. Recruiters don't have time to read through 6 pages of how you won a McDonalds Award when you were 7.

    Accounting Cadetships 2009

Yeah guys, CV's need to be kept to 2-3 pages maximum. Especially given you're still in HS. They need to be succinct.

    Accounting Cadetships 2009

No, I don't think it sounds arrogant/big headed at all. There's no harm in letting recruiters know that you are looking beyond the current stage of recruitment. It shows interest in the position. It just depends on how you deliver it. Making it blatantly obvious might be perceived poorly...

At the CHIC. 8 - Midnight. Pretty much going to be very, very boring as exams are over and post grads would be doing better things with their time.
